Just a reminder... :P

=)

In an attempt to thin out my button collection I have decided to donate some to charity.

Rather than dump multiple tins of assorted buttons on them, I am sorting through my stash and sewing the special ones on to card.

The remainder are being sorted by colour and are going into decorated jars.

A pleasantly calming task, but one which will take some time to complete

I've been having problems with my computer lately and so i've had this photo ready to upload for a few days. Taken outside of a shop selling buttons in Whitby 2007

I was doubly challenged today on Facebook to do 5 days of Black and White, so here is Day 1, some suit buttons. Which can also be for #48 of the 365 Treasure Hunt "Buttons".

I also have to challenge someone every day to do the B&W thing, but I'm short of Facebook friends who haven't already done this. If you'd like to do this challenge and would like to be my friend on Facebook please send a request to Amanda Willard - www.facebook.com/amanda.willard.3551 ....ta muchly :)

Also for #30 of 100 pictures in 2014 "Uniform".

Life is more fun when you're easily amused (by things as ordinary as microwave oven buttons)...

We told Sam it'd really help us if he'd push the buttons on the business manager's calculator while we signed paperwork.

I love to use these hardware boxes--now all my buttons are sorted by color and are so easy to find! And note the threaded needles--I like to keep a few of them right there above the buttons so they are ready to go!

I love buttons :-)

Buttons were very popular in the 80s. They were often pinned to denim jackets and were an expression of one's attitude to life.

Button-boxes are endlessly fascinating, bringing back memories of garments long since gone, of children's clothes, and a hint here and there of even earlier times........
