All shapes and sizes of buttons at a market stall

In an attempt to thin out my button collection I have decided to donate some to charity.

Rather than dump multiple tins of assorted buttons on them, I am sorting through my stash and sewing the special ones on to card.

The remainder are being sorted by colour and are going into decorated jars.

A pleasantly calming task, but one which will take some time to complete

I needed buttons for my knitted sweater.

I didn't expected this buttons to be here so FAST!

Now I only need my new mohair yarns and I will start new projects... :P

Yes, technically the one in the upper right is a record and not a button or pin, but my collection is not large enough to merit separate storage.

any array of buttons, perhaps they have been curved.

Lots of green polymer clay buttons. I made these from buttons molds, then used them to create a polymer clay button wreath.

See instructions for making your own polymer clay button wreath on my blog: How to Make a Polymer Clay Button Wreath

Not only are the symbols confusing, but they are also around 4 feet off of the ground. Maybe less. I think the reason that they are so low is because the elevator is for handicapped people who might be in a wheelchair.

i bought 10 of them the other day while i was super bored at work

Buttons, buttons, and buttons!

I am almost done in my 111 pictures in 2011 challenge, I needed buttons but who would have thought it was going to be soooo difficult. We have buttons everywhere but I had something in mind, so today I went to a crafts store and asked the lady if I could shoot some...she was delighted. She started to open drawers and drawers and even gave me some ideas. Needless to say I ended buying all kinds of stuff...what a seller!!!
