I take the Atlantic Drive past Mularanny, towards achill. This littlwe bush hangs on, year after year.

These Buffalo spend a lot of time in really thick tangled forest which I can barely even negotiate .... I wonder how they manage it, with their massive girth.

The clouds started to get greyer as we were approaching Punda Maria (camp-site), and we eventually came across a massive bushfire.
I like how the tree silhouette is the focus of the picture, and also how the sun is breaking through the clouds.
When you go off the beaten track in the NZ bush it can be a serious matter. Bush sense, experience and a knowledge of local weather conditions are vital to ensure that you can walk out again once more on the beaten track.

Security on the courthouse scoping out the crowd. (They were scoping us out too, we had someone come to our office very shortly after taking this photo and tell us to close the windows, lol)

After a thorough search, Fayette-Ware Comprehensive High School has selected Howard Bush as head football coach. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Coach Bush graduated from Murphy High School in 2013.
Coach Bush attended Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, on a full athletic football scholarship. He was a four year starter on the Lane College football team at the Center position and a former team captain. A two time SIAC (Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) All-Conference football selectee, Coach Bush earned selections as 2017 FCS Bowl (Daytona Beach, Florida) All-Star and 2018 HBCU Spirit of America All-Star.
After graduating from Lane College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Coach Bush began his teaching career. Coach Bush is now entering his fourth year of teaching Physical Science, his sixth year as a Football Coach and his first year as Head Football Coach. He has coached numerous players that have gone on to play Division 1 football and multiple players that currently hold Division 1 scholarship offers.
Coach Bush gleaned his massive knowledge of the game from numerous former NFL veterans and current college Football Coaches who shared their wisdom with him. Most recently, Coach Bush was Run Game Coordinator at Humboldt High School in Humboldt, Tennessee.
Coach Bush has a clear vision for Fayette-Ware Football, which he states is “To shape attitudes, minds and lives daily, build character and discipline on and off the field, and prepare young student athletes for life beyond high school.” He also says “I would like to thank all of the people who have coached me and mentored me along the way. I am forever grateful to you all. I am excited for what is to come for not only the football program at Fayette-Ware, but also the entire community in Fayette County. #GoWildcats. #EARNiT.”
This is a small size cockroach. The bottom of its abdomen is black with white strips. There are also a white line between its thorax and its wings. We can find them in our backyard and bush during day and night in mid-summer. We believed they feed on pollen, honeydew and mould fungus. They wander on leaves between plants. As most other cockroaches, they are very good runner.
Love the way the light was being filtered through these lovely grass trees, the green against the dark trunks and the lines moving in so many directions...
