Bush spent his 60th birthday with Mayor Daley. I saw these helicopters flying from O'Hare and I knew it must be him. Very martial.
Friar's Bush is Belfast's oldest graveyard, with the oldest headstone dating back to 485 AD.
Around 400 people in Belfast died from cholera in the eraly 1830s - they're buried in a mass grave here, known as Cholera Mound. This mass grave was reopened during the famine years (1845-49) to take an extra 5000.
The gates aren't always locked - there are tours on a Sunday afternoon. I must get round to going on one sometime...

Another rose bush that I bought for $5.00 left from a photo shoot here many years ago and it was a very small plant when I bought it. And this is cut down every year too!!! It's just gorgeous.

Salvaged from a compound in Yuendumu. NT and driven to Willowra, NT in episode one of the ABC TV series, 'Bush Mechanics'. Google Maps calculates this as being an 162 km journey which should take 7 hrs on dirt track roads.

Cindy Sheehan purchased this lot on the edge of Crawford by using a dishonest proxy. It is the new home of the 'Peace Camp' since Cindy was kicked off the land she used last year near the Bush Ranch.
The secret service now mans a checkpoint on the road to the President's Ranch. I wasn't able to get any pictures because they don't let people stop on the road anymore.
barbell, spoke and bushing together. the bushings are 9/16th OD and 7/16th ID. both inside and outside lapped to a few ten-thousandth clearance. the reason for both inside and outside being bearing surfaces (instead of making the inside a press fit) is to better accommodate expansion/contraction of dis-similar materials due to temperature change
