I went to the fabric store with "She who must be obeyed" which I always enjoy. Fabric stores are amazingly photogenic places. Plenty of shapes, lines, colors and textures to delight the photographers eye. Thanks to "Mom's Crafts and Fabrics" in Delta, Utah for allowing me to wonder at will snapping away.

These are thick, layered bundles of paper. each layer is a picture, drawing, collage or interesting peice of paper, but they are layered up ridiculously thick so there are hundreds of unviewable peices all on top of each other, like a book you cannot open. Secret layers that make up a whole, just like a person. notes, peices of wire, moths, leather bindings from books, scraps of lace I found in a skip, paper from my childhood or ruined books or sealing wax and wooden blocks. 42 were made in total, and most were datestamped. all are exactly 2 inches by 3 inches, some are very thick, some not so.

Last night I went to sleep and could see grass. This morning...winter happened!
While I was walking through the woods (and while taking this) the snow kept falling in HUGE clumps off the tree tops. Every so often you could just look out into the forest and see these bombs of white snow crash through the branches. Thankfully I only found myself in the middle of two.....

Taken at the famed village where these colorful bundles of incense sticks are made, close to the imperial tomb of Tu Duc, Hue city, Vietnam.
Incense (Latin: incendere, "to burn") is composed of aromatic biotic materials. It releases fragrant smoke when burned. The term incense refers to the substance itself, rather than to the odor that it produces.
Many religious ceremonies and spiritual purificatory rites employ incense, a practice that persists to this day. Incense is also used in medicine and for its aesthetic value. The forms taken by incense have changed with advances in technology, differences in the underlying culture, and diversity in the reasons for burning it. (wikipedia)
