We're getting ready for another arctic blast this weekend. Wind chill with sub zero temps. Then a snow storm on Sunday. Fun Fun Fun. Life in New England.
Not sure if this outfit is ideal for a snow storm but it works for a little pre-storm shopping. Maybe I should buy a shovel :)

These are thick, layered bundles of paper. each layer is a picture, drawing, collage or interesting peice of paper, but they are layered up ridiculously thick so there are hundreds of unviewable peices all on top of each other, like a book you cannot open. Secret layers that make up a whole, just like a person. notes, peices of wire, moths, leather bindings from books, scraps of lace I found in a skip, paper from my childhood or ruined books or sealing wax and wooden blocks. 42 were made in total, and most were datestamped. all are exactly 2 inches by 3 inches, some are very thick, some not so.

Supplies:
Stamp:CL428 Earth Flower
Ink:Bundled Sage, Shabby Shuttered, Peel Paint,-Ranger
Paper: Eames white80Lb -Paper zone
Acce:Martha Stewart butterfly punch, FISKARS Edger punch, Clear EB powder, Gems
Really, all the texture I got is from the paper itself. (This is one of my favorites and I get them from Paperzone.)
1.I clear Emboss the earth flower and stamp it 2 times with 2 different ink.
2.Cut out a rectangle on a piece of scrip paper as a mask and apply Bundled Sage in the center to create the "window".
3. Use Shabby shutters to distress the edge then wipe the emboss image with baby wipes.
4.Embellish with punched out butterflies and gems and punched out edger.
I hope this answers your question and please feel free to let me know if you have any further question. Thanks for looking.

Last night I went to sleep and could see grass. This morning...winter happened!
While I was walking through the woods (and while taking this) the snow kept falling in HUGE clumps off the tree tops. Every so often you could just look out into the forest and see these bombs of white snow crash through the branches. Thankfully I only found myself in the middle of two.....

When I shot 35mm slides decades ago I would never throw out any slides, no matter how bad they were. Instead I would bundle all of the rejects together and set them aside. Tonight I was going through boxes of old slides, including bunches of rejects, when I came upon this one. This was a shot I took of my dad reading the newspaper in 1975. For some reason 42 years after taking the shot, and almost 19 years after his passing, this shot no longer seems like a reject.
