The building never housed a Rexall Drug store. Note: for background on the sign and building read the last comment from Debra Jane Seltzer below.

I heard that this sign came down during Hurricane Sandy.

This is a Fine Art photo of the "Copper Cart" sign in Seligman, Arizona along the famous Route 66. If there is a true Route 66 town still it has to be Seligman, Arizona. Even though in the 1970s, Seligman got by passed by the change of routing the US highways differently. During this change over, many Route 66 towns just faded away, but not Seligman. There are real Segilman fans that come for the weekend and stay at the "Supai Motel" and eat at the "Copper Cart" for some great Mexican food. It is a small town with a big heart many say. The "Copper Cart" photo brings back many good memories to those who traveled the Mother Road during her hey day. It would be a great photo gift for your grand parents who remember having one the best hamburgers in the world right there at the "Copper Cart" in Selgiman, Arizona.

Downtown Los Angeles. I love the colors!

Casino Star Theatre (1912)

There are four Willard's locations in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach. This is the one at 9702 N Kings Hwy (Hwy 17.)

The Michigan Theater was designed by Maurice Finkel and built in 1928. The theater, as a movie house, operated until 1979. The building was slated to be converted to retail / commercial space. A local group- the Michigan Theater Foundation- was formed to preserved the theater and its original 1927 Barton Theatre Pipe Organ, orchestra pit, stage, and elaborate architectural details. In 2016, the Michigan Theater was a venue for live performances and cinema, with seating for over 1,700 people.

Sign from the old Glitter Gulch Casino, restored beautifully and now hung as part of the Fremont Street Experience, Fremont Street, downtown Las Vegas, NV, 2008

Where Arby's big hat signs go to die. There were at least eight of them here, maybe more.

Las Vegas, NV 2008

Located on 95th Street, east of the now-closed Naples Bakery (which also featured a vintage neon sign). This actually was a car shot...a tough sign to shoot because of the tight configuration of the sign in relation to the building combined with 95th Street being a very wide and busy street.

They must love their charcoal in SE South Dakota.

Finally got back down to see this theatre again after years of only having a not-great film shot.

Unfortunately, the light was bad.

Looks like it sold and is in worse condition than 20 years ago. Dunno what the plans are for the place but I love the way it looks.

This amazing bulb and neon sign has been beautifully restored by the Las Vegas Neon Museum. It was originally built in 1967 and stood outside the Hacienca Resort Hotel and Casino.

Built in 1956 on the main boulevard into Wildwood NJ, the Fantasy Motel was the first to flaunt the exuberant jet-age style that hundreds of motels would soon follow with on the island. This early 1990's winter shot shows its great sign still in fine shape which featured neon, flashing bulbs, a marquee and backlit celestial elements. The sign was removed in 1997 and the building demolished in 2005.

It is a charming bar to hear the piano player vocalists playing standars, oldies from Carly Simon, Billy Joel, ... But here come as subject for its lovely sign, with differents red tones and graphic pinup face. ---------- (CHI_DSCN6523 - Image copyrighted).

KNUCKLEHEADS ~ ELECTRIC LIGHT BULB ARROW SIGN - East Bottoms, Kansas City, Missouri

The sign features a "jolly-looking baker" pouring from a bottle of Sauer’s Vanilla Extract into a mixing bowl.

"Swift's Ice Cream" tops the sign for the Country Kitchen in Hebron, Indiana. Swift's Ice Cream had it best days in the 1940s and 1950s. In 2014, the Country Kitchen was open.

At some point in the late 2010s all the bulb lighting and neon tubing were removed.

Rt. 40 near Columbus.. the sign appears on postcards so I think it might be original.

An absolute beauty of a sign above Lim's Cafe along Highway 99 in Redding, California.

Opened in 1970 Jumbo's Clown Room started out as a drinking bar and then a strip club in the 80's & 90's .where Courtney Love did a stint working there....... nowadays it's a bikini dance bar and one of the more cooler and popular joints in Hollywood .......... no cover and reasonably priced drinks with some great entertainment : check it out

The Big Star Drive-In opened in 1954.

Opened in 1932, the Paramount was the last of the great movie palaces erected on downtown Boston's Washington Street. It has been closed since 1976, and much of its interior detail was lost during asbestos removal in the 1980s. In 2002, Millennium Partners painstakingly restored the Paramount's facade, marquee, and vertical sign. Millennium agreed to do this in exchange for city approval of their adjacent Ritz-Carlton Towers project (which included the new 19-screen Loews Boston Common cinema). --------- (BOS_0806_2097 - Image copyrighted).

The Spanish Colonial Revival style Ritz Theater- highlighted with stucco finish; round-arched second story windows with ornate carvings; a central stepped parapet curvilinear gable- was opened circa 1935. The Ritz Theater closed sometime in the mid-1950’s. The building underwent preservation and renovation in 2009 to include the addition of a conference center and banquet hall. The building is used for weddings and special events. The building is located in the West Point Central City Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property.

The Arby's has closed so maybe this sign is endangered.
