All visitors of Burano remain intrigued by the many colours and the colorful houses that are reflected into the green waters of channels, by the leaning bell tower, by the tranquility and the calmness with which the elderly ladies embroider original Burano lace by their tombolo (or lace pillow), while they are laughing and chatting in squares among them. It seems to be in paradise.

Деревянная приходская церковь Воскресения уже стояла на месте собора к 1629 году. The two hardest-working men in Venice stand duty on a rooftop around the clock, and wear no pants. The 'Do Mori' (Two Moors) exposed to the elements atop the Torre dell'Orologio are made of bronze, and their bell-hammering mechanism runs like, well, clockwork. Below the Moors, Venice's gold-leafed 15th-century timepiece tracks lunar phases. The clockworks required constant upkeep by a live-in clockwatcher and his family until 1998. After a nine-year renovation, they are now in independent working order – 132-stroke chimes keep time in tune; moving barrels indicate minutes and hours on the world's first digital clock face (c 1753); and wooden statues of the three kings and angel emerge from side panels annually on Epiphany and the Feast of the Ascension.

In 1892, on a picturesque climbing cliff - a red rock - at an altitude of 400 m above sea level, the foros church was laid. The project developed an architect N.M. Chagin. The church was built in the Byzantine temple style, which is distinguished by a special technique of masonry from wide flat brick-dlinges and using numerous domes by type of Russian wooden temples. With her silhouette church reminds Moscow Churches of the late XVIII century.

At the intersection of Via Carducci (former via S.Girolamo) and Via San Vittore - a street full of aristocratic palazzi that runs along the path of the medieval walls of the Naviglio covered over in 1883 - stands an eccentric building. This is the result of a project by the architect Adolfo Coppedè (brother of the famous Gino). The building stands out for its imposing neo-medieval style even though it was constructed in the nineteenth century; however, it is devoid of excessive decorations: the building is constructed with brick and embellished with white stone. Built on five floors, the highest is decorated with crenellated merlons with the addition of a tower with battlements and gargoyles that are particularly well crafted. The ashlar masonry of the first floor gives a slightly eclectic touch to the building Definitely worthy of note is the covered loggia which further reinforces the original style of the house. Because of its volume, the position on the corner of two streets and factors such as the loggia and the tower, the building has a decidedly monumental aspect.

When it was built in 1976 it boasted 45 floors with the sole purpose of providing commercial office space all of which were contained within the concrete, steel and glass enclosure.
At the time of its completion the Peddle Thorp & Walker designed Mainline built structure had a roof height of 188 metres (617ft) which made it Sydney’s tallest building where from 2011-2017 the Port Authority of NSW positioned a radar on the top of the building to monitor commercial shipping in Sydney Harbour.
In 2013 BVN Architecture Pty Ltd (trading as Bligh Voller Nield) designed a masterplan for the Quay Quarter Sydney project which involved a new tower.
BVN in conjunction with AMP Capital and the City of Sydney conducted a design competition for Quay Quarter Tower which saw the winning design entry submitted by 3XN a Danish architectural practice headquartered in Copenhagen and with offices in Stockholm, London, New York and Sydney.
BVN were appointed as the Executive Architect to work with 3XN and develop their design for construction.
Construction began in early 2018 following the approvals of the project in 2015.
The appointment of the lead contractor for the project was Multiplex and they were tasked with a rebuild and reclad of the building’s exterior along with a height increase and the incorporation of the existing floor space.
Overall the building would be transformed with a complete modernisation of its external appearance and design.
On completion the redevelopment phase the height of the building was increased to a height of 216 m (709 ft) and now boasted a new floor level of 54 floors with a completely revamped interior and a100% increase in total floor space.
Today the AMP Centre is known as Quay Quarter Tower and was topped out in 2021 (In building construction, topping out (sometimes referred to as topping off) is a builders' rite traditionally held when the last beam (or its equivalent) is placed atop a structure during its construction.
Nowadays, the ceremony is often parlayed into a media event for public relations purposes. It has since come to mean more generally finishing the structure of the building, whether there is a ceremony or not. It is also commonly used to determine the amount of wind on the top of the structure).
It was finally completed in early 2022.
The International High-Rise Award in November 2022 paid the ultimate recognition outstanding contribution of 3XN and BVN injected into the project.
But the greatest honour was bestowed in December 2022 when the architects were awarded the World Building of the Year Award announced at the World Architecture Festival held in Lisbon, Portugal.

Nam Shan Estate (Chinese: 南山邨) is a public housing estate in Shek Kip Mei, Hong Kong, located near Tai Hang Tung Estate, Tai Hang Sai Estate, Yau Yat Tsuen and City University of Hong Kong. The estate is located at Shek Kip Mei and was formerly called "Kowloon Tsai". It comprises 8 residential blocks built in 1977. St. Joseph’s Cathedral is the oldest church in Hanoi, with construction beginning in 1886, and the design intending to emulate its Parisian counterpart (Notre-Dame de Paris). The cathedral was built in Gothic Revival-style, built of granite slabs and gorgeous stained glass windows shipped to Hanoi from France. The exterior, however, is being seriously worn down, as pollution is a severe issue in Vietnam’s capital city.

The Cathedral of San Vigilio – the Duomo di Trento - was erected on an area which housed an ancient temple dedicated to the city's Patron Saint. A church built in the Padania style was probably found here before the death of the Saint. In the 11th century, the Prince-Bishop Uldarico II began works on the cathedral. In 1212 this first building was almost completely demolished by Federico Vanga - one of the Bishops who contributed the most to the city's urban-artistic development - to make room for a cathedral in the Romanesque-Lombard style. The Bishop entrusted the project to a team of Campione-based skilled workers, headed by Adamo d'Arogno. At the end of the 13th century, the cathedral's Northern transept was decorated with an allegorical rose window known as the Wheel of Fortune. In the 14th century, the church got expanded, and Gothic features were added to it. In 1628, the Crucifix Chapel was planned by Giuseppe Alberti. Built in the Baroque style, it houses a group of wooden sculptures at whose feet the decrees of the Council of Trent (1545-1563) were issued.

In 1463 the Dominican Order commissioned Guiniforte Solari with the construction of a church for their monastery. Solari designed a beautiful structure in a late Gothic style, which was completed in 1490. Ludovico il Moro, the duke of Milan, decided the Santa Maria delle Grazie would be a perfect sepulchre for him and his wife and in preparation asked Donato Bramante in 1492 to remodel the church. Bramante rebuilt the apse and crowned it with a magnificent sixteen-sided drum in Renaissance style. Ludovico's wife Beatrice d'Este was buried here in 1497. Ludovico Il Moro himself however was ousted in 1500 and his sepulchral monument was moved to the Certosa of Pavia. In 1943 allied bombardments destroyed the main cloister. The church was damaged but Bramante's dome escaped unscathed. The building was restored shortly after the war, in 1947.
