The Lebrija Palace or el Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija can be found in one of Seville city centre’s busiest streets, Calle Cuna, parallel to the Calle Sierpes. Dating from the 16th century, it is considered one of the best residences in Seville. The palace is characterised by its collection of Roman mosaics, which paved almost the entire ground floor and lead the palace to be considered the ‘best paved house-palace in Europe’.

The Chappel Viaduct is a railway viaduct that crosses the River Colne in the Colne Valley in Essex, England. It carries the Gainsborough Line which now is a short branch linking Marks Tey in Essex to Sudbury in Suffolk. The line previously, however, extended to Shelford in Cambridgeshire.
It was completed in 1849 by a company which was later absorbed into the Great Eastern Railway. It is the longest bridge in the East Anglia region at 1,060 feet (320 m), and one of the largest brick-built structures in the country. It was listed at Grade II in 1967.
The viaduct consists of 32 semi-circular spans, each of 30 feet (9.1 m) span with tapered piers; it is 1,060 feet (320 m) long and rises to a maximum height of 75 feet (23 m).
The seven million bricks used in the construction of the viaduct were made from clay excavated from the nearby village of Bures. It was built to carry a double-track railway but only a single track was laid. The bridge was built by Peter Bruff between 1847 and 1849 for the Colchester, Stour Valley, Sudbury & Halstead Railway, later part of the Great Eastern Railway.
The Norfolk & Western coaling dock at Vicker's Switch right outside of Christianburg, Virginia. This photo was taken with a four-location light-painting setup with assistance from friend Scott Haefner.
The Vicker coaling tower hearkens to a time when all railroads across the country had such diverse and uniquely built structures. Though ubiquitous, they were also unique, depending on the builder and utilitarian needs of the landscape.
Coaling towers were a necessary fixture along railroads during the era of coal-powered steam locomotives. Coal was carried on the train in a special car called a "tender." When the tender needed to be refilled, the engineer positioned the train so that the tender was parked under the tower chutes at the coaling tower. The chutes were then lowered and coal was released into the tender. In the 1950s, diesel replaced coal as the fuel of choice for locomotives, and coaling towers fell out of use.
Today there are only a few dozen such structures remaining across the country.

I took this shot a couple of weeks ago from a hotel bar in Shinagawa. It's looking North towards Tokyo Tower (332.9 metres or 1,092 ft). At the time of construction in 1958 Tokyo Tower was the tallest freestanding tower in the world, taking the title from the Eiffel Tower by 13 metres. Depending on where you draw the boundaries there are between 9 million and 38 million people living in Tokyo. The population of the special inner wards is over 9 million people, with the total population of Tokyo prefecture coming in over 13 million. When combined with the surrounding areas the prefecture forms part of the world's most populous metropolitan area of 37.8 million people.

The Palazzo Litta, also known as the Palazzo Arese-Litta, is a Baroque structure in Milan, northern Italy. The construction of this structure is the most attractive part of it. The baroque decoration of the windows consists of an enablement with floral patterns and volutes. Its elegant facade faces the Corso Magenta, and its portal is decorated with imposing telamons along with a grand staircase that leave a royal effect. Famous for its religious and historic significance, visiting Palazzo Litta is one of the most popular things to do in Milan. For the ancient wonderful architecture, the place has a unique charm, which makes it worth visiting. What makes it an important cultural centre is that it also houses Teatro Litta, the most ancient and still open theatre in the city, and, since 2007, the Regional Department of Lombardy Cultural Heritage. You will get buses, metro rail and local cabs for this place.
The magnificent fortress of Le Castella is located on the eastern end of the Gulf of Squillace in the province of Crotone. To be precise, in Isola di Capo Rizzuto looking out over the protected marine reserve of the same name. You don't need much imagination to see the Aragonese soldiers locked in combat with Turkish pirates five centuries ago.
It was erected in 1635 on the site of wooden and is the southeastern tower travel from it is the road to Uglich, and thus there is a name. On the south side of the tower adjacent to it preserved part of the fortress wall. This is a rather powerful structure with thickness up to three meters and a height of more than ten meters. In the XVII century the monastery walls exceed the length of 820 meters, and before the wall was dug roar filled with water.
Across the Tages River from Lisbon lies Almada, a somewhat lesser know area which nonetheless reveals itself in it’s charm and authentic character. This desolate charm will all disappear soon with the inevitable real estate developments planned for the riverside.

The innovative sanatorium-resort center "MriyaResort & SPA" is located in the picturesque village. Landslide 25 km from hospitable Yalta. This complex is truly the pearl of the Black Sea resort, as evidenced by the full compliance with international standards among hotels of this level. The main building of the hotel, made in the form of lotus petals, is distinguished by its uniqueness and is the most recognizable in the world, because it was designed by the very famous Norman Foster, an architect from Britain.

The Stauropegic Resurrection New Jerusalem Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries in the Moscow Region. It is a unique and sacred place, marvellous in its design, having been crafted by architects from several epochs. It reproduces the layout of key religious sites in Ierusalem – the Resurrection Cathedral is the counterpart of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre with its side chapels and the underground Sts Constantine and Helena Church is the counterpart of the cavernous Palestinian church. The natural landscape around the monastery bears Biblical names: Mounts (or, rather, hills) Tabor, Hermon, Sinai, Mount of Olives, the Jordan river (Istra), and the Garden of Gethsemane.
