The tatsumi-yagura is a two-story high keep at the easternmost corner of the Sannomaru and the only keep still remaining in it.

The Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the most famous pagodas in the world and it is certainly the main attraction of Yangon, Myanmar’s capital city.
The formal name of the Shwedagon Pagoda is Shwedagon Zedi Daw, which translates as The Great Golden Mountain Stupa. Nothing could be nearer to the truth, the stupa is plated with nearly 22,000 solid gold bars, it’s set with over 5500 diamonds, the main spire boasts 2300 rubies, sapphires, and other gems, and 4000 golden bells… not forgetting the largest of which is a whopping 72 carat diamond.

The castle stands where probably the Hipponion Acropolis was located, which partly extended to the nearby hill. Although the first phase of construction of the structure was vaguely attributed to the Norman age, in fact it dates back to the Svevo period. The castle today features cylindrical towers, a ram tower and a doorway to an Angevin arch. It is currently home to the State Archaeological Museum. The Khan's Palace in Bakhchisaray was built in the 16th century and served as a residence for a succession of Crimean Khans. The Crimean Khanate was a Turkic vassal state of the Ottoman Empire from 1478 to 1774 -- the longest-lived of the Turkic khanates that succeeded the empire of the Golden Horde.

Строительство дворца началось при Менгли-Гирее I в 1503 г. параллельно с новой Ханской столицей, к этому периоду времени относится возведение Демир-Капы. Но основные работы по его созданию велись в период правления Сахиб-Гирея I: с 1532 по 1551 гг. было построено большинство прекрасных зданий.
Однако говорить, что возведение его закончили незадолго до смерти Сахиб-Гирея, было бы неправильно. Фактически каждый из ханов добавлял что-то свое – так и продолжалось до ликвидации Крымского ханства в 1785 г. Во время русско-турецкой войны 1735-1739 гг. в 1736 г. Бахчисарай был взят русскими войсками, а ханская резиденция сожжена по приказу фельдмаршала Миниха.
