Pizzo, also called Pizzo Calabro, is a seaport and comune in the province of Vibo Valentia (Calabria, southern Italy), situated on a steep cliff overlooking the Gulf of Santa Eufemia.
Karaite prayer houses - kenases. Kenasa opposite the entrance to the courtyard, decorated with an arcade of hewn stones, presumably dates from the XIV century. The other, on the right, more modest, appeared at the end of the 18th century. It was probably built by the Karaites who moved from Mangup at this time. Karaites are similar to the Turkic peoples in language, folklore, everyday customs and way of life. However, traditionally they professed Karaism - a religion akin to Judaism

Llanfairpwllgwyngyll or Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll is a large village and community on the island of Anglesey in Wales, situated on the Menai Strait next to the Britannia Bridge and across the strait from Bangor. It is alternatively known as Llanfairpwll, Llanfair PG, or Llanfair-pwllgwyngyll-gogery-chwyrn-drobwll-llan-tysilio-gogo-goch.
At the 2001 census the population of the community was 3,040, 76% of whom spoke Welsh fluently; the highest percentage of speakers was in the 10–14 age group, where 97.1% spoke Welsh. By the time of the 2011 Census the population had increased to 3,107, of whom 70.62% were able to speak Welsh. It is the sixth largest settlement on the island by population.
The long form of the name was invented for promotional purposes in the 1860s; with 58 characters it is the longest place name in Europe and the second longest official one-word place name in the world.

O farol Inre Hamn foi construído em 1878 e manteve-se operacional até 1983. Construído em ferro fundido, tem 20 m de altura.
In Infra Red. According to the Daresbury Heritage group this building is called the round chevaral and is used as a control area for the Vyrnwy Aqueduct which passes under here taking Welsh water to Liverpool. Rumour has it that it is also used to make Bombay Sapphire Gin. In the distance are the cooling towers of the Fidler’s Ferry power station.

There is a reason Hong Kong has a reputation for being a concrete jungle. The Monster Building is a fairly accurate description of Hong Kong, one of the most densely populated cities in the world. It was made famous films such as Transformers and the Ghost in the Shell live-action films.

Este singular e mundialmente famoso palácio neo-manuelino, construido pelos monarcas portugueses nos finais do Século XIX, constitui uma das jóias artísticas da Europa. Subordinado, de um modo geral, ao tema das Descobertas dos Portugueses, o conjunto exibe uma riqueza de decoração com uma exuberância de arcos abobadados, escadarias em mármore, tapeçarias raras, quadros de mestres pintores e peças de alguns dos mais notáveis artistas portugueses, para espanto e encanto dos hóspedes.
O rei D. Carlos, que encomendou esta obra, não viveu para a ver. O filho D. Manuel II, visitou-o brevemente antes do exílio. A transformação em hotel de luxo, com vinhos próprios, deveu-se a uma inspiração do cozinheiro real.

The Church of St. Vladimir was built on the site of a medieval cruciform church in the mid-19th century. The church is devoted to Kyivan Prince Vladimir, who, according to the Rus Chronicle, was baptized in Chersonesos. Academician F. I. Chagin and architect D. I. Grimm, architects of the church, designed this two-story building with one chapel on each floor. The chapel of the Nativity of the Mother of God of Korsun' is located on the ground floor; St. Vladimir chapel is on the first floor.
The remains of the cruciform church where the prince of Rus' was initially supposed to have been baptized are preserved on the ground floor of the modern church.
Свято-Владимирский кафедральный собор в Херсонесе - православная святыня, которая увековечила принятие христианства князем Владимиром. Храм-памятник поражает своим величием, красотой и пропорциональностью линий. Свято-Владимирский собор был заложен в 1861 году. На церемонии присутствовала царская семья. Первый камень в основание собора заложил император Александр II. Он же утвердил проект будущего храма на территории Херсонесского монастыря. Автором проекта выступил академик архитектуры Давид Гримм. Интересно, что Свято-Владимирский собор в Херсонесе стал первым выдающимся сооружением, которое спроектировал этот архитектор.
According to one of the legends it was founded in 891. Originally it belonged to the Constantinopolitan Patriarchate. The first record of the monastery dates back to 1578. From 1778 (the Christians’ outcome from Crimea) to 1794 the monastery does not function. From 1806 it becomes the base monastery for the Black Sea Fleet hieromonachs. New temples are built: 1816 — the Great Martyr George Temple, 1850 — the Exaltation of the Cross Temple, 1893 — the Cave Church of the Nativity of Christ. The monastery is closed in 1929. It was revived in 1994. In 2000 there started the building of the Great Martyr George Temple, ruined in 1927.
Православный мужской монастырь в Балаклавском районе Севастополя, расположен у мыса Фиолент, на побережье Чёрного моря. По преданию, монастырь в 891 году основали греки-мореплаватели. Как гласит легенда, возле Фиолента их настигла буря, при этом судно чуть не разбилось о скалу. Путешественники попросили святого Георгия Победоносца о помощи, и буря утихла. В благодарность моряки основали на берегу обитель с церковью во имя этого святого.

Das Schiller-Denkmal in Berlin-Mitte steht an zentraler Stelle auf dem Gendarmenmarkt, vor der Freitreppe zum früheren Königlichen Schauspielhaus, dem heutigen Konzerthaus Berlin. Die Skulpturengruppe wurde von Reinhold Begas geschaffen, einem prominenten Vertreter der Berliner Bildhauerschule des 19. Jahrhunderts.
