Took this this morning. I like to capture this type of building progress for prosperity. Surrounded by an 8 foot fence, I had to hold the camera above my head to catch this,hence the angle.

Structural steel for the Integrated Sciences Complex arrived on Wednesday, December 21, and the steelworkers have been busy erecting two stories of columns and beams on the north wing. The university community will see the ISC take shape as steel continues to go up and metal decks, concrete slabs and fireproofing are installed through the spring.

Utility and tunnel work are underway at the Integrated Sciences Complex. Storm, sewer and drainage piping as well as electrical and IT conduit are being installed. Concrete continues to be poured for the elevator shafts and tunnel leading to the Service and Supply Building. A total of 8,500 cy of concrete will be placed during the construction of the Integrated Sciences Complex.
The large crane will leave the Integrated Sciences Complex site as ironworkers near the end of installing structural steel. Crews are pouring concrete for the floors in the new building.

Construction marches on at UMass Boston campus – February 2013
Despite winter storms, construction work marches on at the University of Massachusetts Boston campus. Crews continue to work on the roof, the framing, conduit, ductwork and piping in the Integrated Science Complex. The mock Senate chambers begin to take shape at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute.
