Asphalt is basically a composite material used to surface roads, airports and pavements. It goes by different names in various regions. For instance, the North Americans will refer to it as blacktop or asphalt pavement, while in Great Britain they are called tarmac, bitumen, or Macadam. This material is made up of a mixture of rocks called aggregate and liquid asphalt called asphalt cement which is used to bind the aggregate. Most contractors prefer using it due to the following reasons.
First of all, the cost of installation and maintenance of asphalt is relatively cheap compared to other paving methods. It takes less time, and does not require too much labor. Once the composite has been mixed, you are only left with the task of spreading it on the ground being surfaced.
Asphalt is also very versatile, moreso when it comes to colors and patterns. You can fine tune it to a desired design or style. No more worrying about matching specific themes when working with asphalt.
The elasticity of the material enables it to withstand both mild and harsh weather conditions, in addition to heavy traffic. Therefore, it lasts longer than most materials. During rainy season, it allows free flow of water hence minimizing splash and tire spray. Its skid and slip resistance capability makes it the best material to install in wet and snowy weather areas.
Lastly, asphalt is also an eco-friendly material. It can be recycled several times whenever it wears out. In a single year, more than 80 million tons of reclaimed asphalt pavements were recycled and used again. This is not only beneficial to natural resources but it also saves the tax payers more than $2.6 billion annually.
Having been approved by the Environmental protection Agency, asphalt is now used as liners for both sanitary and hazardous waste landfills. Back in the ancient days, Egyptians used it to embalm mummies due to its durability quality.
When you think about it, paving roads and pavements is very important. According to estimates by engineers, a single vehicle stirs up to 4 ½ pounds of dust into the air when moving at a speed of 30 mph for every mile travelled on an unpaved road. When you add up the dozens of vehicles that pass through an unpaved road on a single day at speeds higher than 30 mph, you realize how such roads are more of a health hazard to the road users and inhabitants living nearby.

When the coach stop @ this place. I decided to take some pictures while waiting for the Mayor's car.
I found this scene where the new building is at the back of the old building. The old buildings are of Russian architecture, there are 2 muslim restaurants here. the Han & Mongolian restaurants are further to the entrance; opposit of the station.
Taxis' are older look then those in Beijing & Shanghai.

When you think about garage doors, rarely does anybody think about injuries. Well, you should know that a good percentage of injuries at home are caused by garage doors. Most of the time it is due to negligence and ignorance. In 2016 alone, there were over 1,610 reported injuries by non-professionals who were trying to repair their garage doors. This article shall be providing details on common garage problems to watch out for.
Broken garage door opener
The garage door opener is one of the most important features of a garage door. Unfortunately, its lifespan isn’t that long. On average, a garage door is expected to withstand 10,000 operations before it breaks down. Now, when you divide that number by 1,500 which is the approximate number of times the garage door is opened every year, you have approximately 7 years to get a new door opener. Rather than sit and wait, make a point of inspecting the opener frequently.
Dirty or misaligned sensors
Failing to clean the garage door sensors could result in dire consequences. If the sensors are not working correctly the door is likely to reverse before it hits the floor, or stop in the middle of an operation. The solution in this case is to clean the sensors and replace broken ones.
Damaged garage door
The garage door itself could also be damaged by a vehicle, the weather, or through gradual wear and tear. A simple repair or total replacement would be ideal to avoid any injuries.
Dry/squeaky rollers and hinges
Movable parts and joints of the garage door need to be checked too. Make sure they are well lubricated for easy mobility and to eliminate irritating noise. Doing so will also slow down the wear and tear of the hinges.
Warped or misaligned tracks
The garage door track needs to be checked keenly for any bends or misalignment. This malfunction makes it hard to shut the door. Getting a garage door specialist to straighten or replace the track would help prevent imminent injuries.
Broken torsion springs
Broken torsion springs would make it hard for the garage door to open or close. You need to get new replacements before you end up injuring yourself while struggling to gain entry or leave the garage.
Worn out extension springs
Still on springs, the extension springs are also susceptible to wear and tear. You ought to have them checked frequently and replaced at the slightest sign of damage. A proper functioning extension spring prevents the door from falling upon release.
Snapped cables
Unless you are ready for a lock in or lock out of your garage, get the cables checked occasionally. Replacing snapped cables takes a very short time when done by garage door specialists like us.
