Utility and tunnel work are underway at the Integrated Sciences Complex. Storm, sewer and drainage piping as well as electrical and IT conduit are being installed. Concrete continues to be poured for the elevator shafts and tunnel leading to the Service and Supply Building. A total of 8,500 cy of concrete will be placed during the construction of the Integrated Sciences Complex.

I am told by the driver that this the longest portion is about 50miles. That is something, it took them about 5 years to complete the work because of the difficulties that encountered with the tunneling engineering works.

Crews continue to do ground improvement work to reinforce the soil under future utility, sidewalk and other hardscape areas at the Integrated Sciences Complex. Concrete pile caps are being installed in the service and supply tunnel construction area and other reinforcing steel and concrete work continues on the ISC foundation.
