A different take on a classic scene. I have many photos of this bridge with the pier pilings in front. Decided to zoom in, then had a play with Analog Efex 2. I like how it turned out!

The northbound Agawa Canyon Fall Colour Tour Train / CN 633 (Canadian National owned and operated, at least for the time being) passes over the fog shrouded Goulais River via the Searchmont Railroad Bridge. The bridge design is a seven panel Parker Through Truss, and features pinned connections, lattice portal bracing, lattice top chord bracing, and vertical V-lacing support. The bridge was probably built around 1902 by the Algoma Central Railway. Searchmont is about 40 kilometers north of Sault Ste. Marie.
Very pleased this shot is going to feature in the IPlymouth calendar for 2016. I had deleted is by mistake when sorting out Flickr on my phone!

Taken last night from the Millennium bridge, looking over towards the Tyne bridge & Sage Theatre ... The sky lit up briefly, just enough time to grab a quick few shots from this iconic spot.
This bridge was built in 1999, replacing the older bridge built in 1881 which was destroyed by arson.
The new bridge goes by the names Orne or Irasburg. The old bridge was also known by the names, Coventry, Black River and Lower covered bridge
While it was built to withstand the weight of box trucks, you can see they still can do some damage.
Spent the day yesterday enjoying the falls at the Dupont State Forest with family visiting from Oklahoma. This is the bridge that takes you to Triple Falls in the Dupont State Forest, Transylvania County, Western North Carolina. Beautiful day !!!
Probably influenced by my adoration for Scandinavian crime series. I'm off-brief with this one; I decided to go freestyle for a change as I'd decided on the location before and tonight was a convenient night. No-one around but I did make sure to get nice and close to the security camera. Oh, and the big pointy thing, that's Norwich Cathedral.

This bridge is the dividing line. Atlantic Ocean is on the right and the Chesapeake Bay is on the left. Under the bridge, you can see to the vanishing point. This is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, the longest in the world.

The Fraser Bridge in the town of Hope, British Columbia, Canada was built in 1915 by the provincial government and the Canadian Pacific Railway, who needed to link the Kettle Valley Railway with the CPR mainline. The double-deck bridge carried trains on the lower deck (shown here) and cars on the upper. Trains no longer cross but the original structure is still in use for vehicle traffic. This image was captured with a Mamiya RB67 on medium format Ilford FP4 film.

Bridge on the river Colne at bibury Oxfordshire. A National Trust owned area close to Arlington Row, once weavers cottages.
I stayed at the rustic resort at Belden Town during my short stay in Plumas County this past weekend. It has a great history - see link. This 1913 bridge is the only way in to Belden Town. It was originally constructed as a railway bridge. I believe the County is making plans to do some minor rehabilitation and painting of the historic structure.

This is a close up view of the railroad lift bridge. I needed permission to get access to these views.
On the left is a view of the bridge across the Mississippi at Burlington, IA and if you look at yesterday’s image you can see the barge approaching and the one section of the bridge lifted up.
The right photo shows the lifting gear – the upper portion contains weights and the two front black stripes are chains that shift as it lifts. You can also see it blocks the tracks as well – not sure if it would stop the train with 2 engines and 100 cars.
One day I counted a train about every 17 minutes hauling coal and other items eastward.
