This is the bridge from Kungshamn to Smøgen in Sweden. Smøgen is super popular in the summertime and too crowded for me, but it really shines in the autumn and spring. A fantastic place well worth visiting. Shot in light rain/drizzle.

Manhattan washed by the sunset is a nice sight. For someone from an agricultural state, it's hard to imagine a place like this until you see it. The greatest city in the world.

The two bridges that cross the firth of forth in Edinburgh are incredible feats of engineering but amazingly they are building a 3rd bridge! It is under construction just to the west of the current bridges (behind me while taking this photo).

Foggy day in Lisbon

The George Washington Bridge towers were supposed to be clad in pink granite, with beaux arts carvings, but the Great Depression got in the way. The upper level has been open since 1931, but the lower level wasn't in use until 1962.

After visiting the Škocjan Caves we continued our walking along the Big Collapse Doline and visited smaller caves. The path winds under the natural bridge to the Little Collapse Doline (Mala dolina). Now we are in the Mahorčič Cave, the last on our trail. Down below you can see the river Reka, which create these caves and canyons :)

The Mahorčič Cave (Mahorčičeva Jama) was named after a local explorer Josef Mahorčič who was also the mayor of Naklo. The cave sits directly below the Škocjan village, after which the entire cave system got its name and is also where the Reka River flows underground. The sunlight streaming into the cave makes for an absolutely scenic shot.

The Reka river is the widest known sinking stream of the Classical Karst area in Slovenia, and it has been studied since the Antiquity. This river formed the Škocjan Caves, long limestone cave system which comprises one of the world's largest known underground river canyons, which was proclaimed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1986.

Światło słoneczne wpadające do jaskini tworzy malownicze widoki.

In 2003 the Wandiligong community put in place a swing bridge to commemorate the contribution of the Chinese. The bridge spans Morses Creek in the locality known as The Diggings, and it has been crafted to reflect a traditional Chinese design.

The Royal Gorge Bridge is a tourist attraction near Cañon City, Colorado within Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, a 360-acre (150 ha) amusement park located along the edge of the Royal Gorge around both ends of the bridge. The bridge crosses the gorge 955 feet (291 m) above the Arkansas River and held the record of highest bridge in the world from 1929 until 2001 when it was surpassed by the Liuguanghe Bridge in China. The Royal Gorge Bridge maintained the title of the world's highest suspension bridge until the Beipan River Guanxing Highway Bridge was completed in 2003, also in China. The bridge remains the highest bridge in the United States and was among the ten highest bridges in the world until 2012.

The main span of the bridge between the towers is 880 feet (268 m), the total length is 1,260 feet (384 m), the width is 18 feet (5.5 m) and the towers are 150 feet (46 m) high. The steel base structure is covered with 1292 wooden planks.

The bridge was built in six months between June and November 1929 at a cost of $350,000 (equivalent to $4.2 million in 2020 dollars). In 1931, the Incline Railway, or simply the Incline (also known as a funicular), was added beside the bridge to reach the bottom of the gorge. In the 1950s, a miniature railroad was built by the edge of the gorge and an aerial tram was opened in 1969. In the early 1980s, the bridge was renovated with new cable anchors, suspension rods and paint. A Skycoaster attraction was added in 2003, with riders being swung out over the edge of the gorge.

In June 2013, a wildfire destroyed most of the park's buildings and the aerial tram, and damaged the Incline. The bridge sustained only slight damage to the wooden deck and was otherwise undamaged, along with the Skycoaster. The park was rebuilt and partially reopened in August 2014. The park had a grand reopening in May 2015 with new gondolas and a new zip-line crossing the gorge on the east side of the bridge. (Wikipedia)

I spent about 2h on this location because of this amazing concrete bridge which is one of the most known bridges in the Ex-Yougoslavia. It was built between 1937 and 1940 and had to be rebuilt in 1946 after being partly destroyed during the WWII.

Its 365m length connects the "Djurdjevića" and "Trešnjica" villages, located in the Pljevlja municipality, while the Tara river is flowing 172m below the road level.

Hope you'll enjoy this one because it's one of my favorite from this road trip.
