A sunrise that lacked a certain woomph but it means I will keep revisiting until I'm satisfied.
Sun rise meant to happen at 4.52am according to The Photographer's Ephemeris; the shot was taken at 5:40am.
By that time all the night lights had been turned off.
I posted this mirrored bridge last year but thought I would try something new. My granddaughter kindly indulged me with a backyard leap and this is how I repaid her trust.
I hope she makes the leap.
Because half of the Clifton Suspension Bridge is better than none.

Pooley Bridge Boathouse on Ullswater during a grey and windy afternoon. A very handy location, right by the roadside.
This picturesque bridge was once the scene of the bloodiest day in American history. The bridge spans Antietam Creek near the town of Sharpsburg, Maryland. On September 17, 1862 Confederate and Union troops clashed on these grounds in the single bloodiest day of the Civil War. Fewer than 500 Confederate troops repeatedly repulsed Federal assaults made on this bridge by General Ambrose Burnside’s much larger Ninth Corps. The Union soldiers eventually took the bridge, but it cost them dearly. The bridge is named after General Burnside. Some historians have argued that the Battle of Antietam was the turning point of the war.

"Vou deixar a vida me levar
Pra onde ela quiser,
Seguir a direção,
Viver.
Seguindo a direção...
Lá vamos nós!... ... ...
