This morning I fancied an Almond Croissant for breakfast. And it just so happens our local Tesco mini express sells the best ones in the area. You can smell them baking before you see the store :)
However, a month or so back they were 90p each, then about a fortnight ago they were 95p, and this morning £1.
But it was still nice to sit out in the garden for breakfast, and yes that beige background is my lawn. Our hose pipe ban comes into force next Friday, but as we're on a water meter, we hardly use it anyway, and never water the lawn.

Whilst driving around Mount Wilson, I found a nice, leafy spot along Waterfall Road, where there were some picnic tables.
This spot would make a great location for breakfast in the crisp, autumn air.
Breakfast date with Jill at the Outside (it is inside!) Cafe at Hathersage!! Shame about the rain!!

Cereal coated doughnut - had to give that a try! With a glass of chocolate milk and I have now consumed all my calories for the rest of the week. Oy.
For June I want to work on food photography so get ready. I had some leftover roasted vegetables and heated them up in some vegetable broth then cracked some eggs and let them poach in the broth. Added a little fresh basil, salt and pepper and ta-da, breakfast is served.
I am totally open to suggestions for any ways to improve my food shots.
Main Street Restaurant. good food, nice people. Greek, Italian & American staples, including breakfast dishes, served in a low-key space with a bar.
Our newly opened Portuguese Cafe / Restaurant , has started to put a few English Meals on their menu .
All food in “Alfonsos” is cooked to order , and served hot to the table .

This morning I took a walk along the Grand River and came across this Bald Eagle eating his breakfast.
This breakfast platter at Cafe Bandit included eggs, bell peppers, hash brown, sausage and the cafe's signature Shokupan (Japanese style) milk bread.

Organic oats, filtered water, cinnamon, tiny pinch of salt, wheat grass, blueberries and Manuka honey! I think I added too much wheat grass!! It tasted good though...
