Victorious male Goldfinch having carefully worked its way into position so it can leisurely dine on sweet Canadian Thistle silk and seed.
A more common mid-Summer scene now that the area's forest of thistle florets are starting to mature.
This fellow came trotting down highway 40 very early in the morning with his breakfast. He was soaking wet, looked to have some mange and some kind of black growth on his rump, but for what it's worth this fox is still having a better day than that rabbit. Taken in Kananaskis Alberta.
Nothing like a fresh fish breakfast folks, and nothing like getting a shot of the moment.

This is a common weekend breakfast at our home. Poached egg on bacon avocado toast with lemon pepper. Very tasty and hard to beat.
(Full disclosure: I accidentally over-cooked this egg, normally the yoke is runny… but it was still tasty!)

Along the Sol Duc River in Olympic National Park. Every morning when I got out my camp stove, Gray and Stellar Jays showed up uninvited for breakfast. Gray Jays were not as aggressive in trying to steal food but Mr Stellar could care less about being shooed away with a towel.

A small cafe called 'Brown Sugar' in the Block Arcade in Melbourne. One of my regular haunts when i'm in Melbourne, but this time the coffee machine wasn't working ... imagine starting the day in Melbourne without a coffee?!! Let's hope they have it fixed before I return.

Octobers chilly weather does good for a lonely soul

Previously unpublished shot from January 2017. Back then I guess my street shooting breakfast would have been a cigarette, coffee and at most a banana. Glad to say that now, coffee excepted, by breakfast habits are considerably healthier. Enjoy!
