My Breakfast from the other day

This juvenile Green Heron takes advantage of a shrinking marsh and makes breakfast of the non-native bull frog.

...is the most important meal of the day (or so they say). I hope this brightens your Sunday a little, friends. It sure cracked me up!

Mancos State Park has a campground with sites clustered around the reservoir. I use this campground for easy access to the La Plata Mountains, especially the viewpoint for Mount Hesperus. While eating breakfast I noticed this view, just a few steps from my tent site. I knew it was going to be a good day.

this is my favourite camera at the moment. for ages I thought it was called a T-Lova but I've realised I can't read and it's definitely a Nova.

The seasonal delicacies are here!

Straight after breakfast Edith went outside to play.

And I know I am really *bending* the prompt here but I so wanted to show the pram I bought for Edith. I am over the moon delighted with it.

And that is an antique SFBJ 236 Paris Bebe doll in the pram too!

ADAD August

I usually just have a bowl of cereal for breakfast. This morning I fixed scrambled eggs with cheese, hot grits with butter, and a slice of pumpkin bread. Yes, it was yummy!

i know i say this every morning, but today i really mean it.... this breakfast was so NUMMY!

I had a hearty serving of oatmeal topped with freshly cut peaches that were at the perfect ripeness. i love when that happens :) i also made myself a super delicious banana/milk/maple syrup/almond/ice smoothie... thanks Theresa for the recipe, and a small handful of almonds in my super adorable thrifted mug.

for those of you that are skeptical of eating oatmeal, i highly recommend you try it out. i always use milk instead of water and add enough to make it wet not gloppy. always be sure to add salt and a tad bit of sugar. Mmmmm :)

Itwari Junction to Nagbhir Junction is one of the few narrow gauge lines reamainig in Indian Railways. Total of 106 kms through the rural India. Having travelled in trains in broad gauge section which touches 110 - 120 Kmph, travelling in a train which has a maximum speed of 40 Kmph was a different experience . Total journey time was four and half hours. Started at 6.00 AM from Itwari Jn and reached Nagbhir Jn bang on time by 10.30 AM. Interestingly, there was a breakfast halt at Kuhi station too. Hope to do the same stretch again sometime in summer before narrow gauges vanishes into history

A bright, sunny morning after a day of torrential rain. This little fellow was enjoying his breakfast. The flowers were still drenched with water but the light was hitting the droplets and making them sparkles like diamonds... How wonderful this sight was : ))

A photo a day for 366 days taken by me

Alien shapes. Yesterday I examined images of both protea and banksia. The long leaf with sharp points is like one I found in the image of banksia. The green petals below it is a protea.
