ODC: Break the rules - Street Portrait in the middle, not smiling, busy background, but I *think* it kind of works with the poster.
This is my "break the rules" picture. No one else goofed up a panoramic shot, so let me be the first. I picked this building for the photograph because I think it breaks all kinds of architectural rules. It looks to be inspired by the Titanic. I've never been on the inside, but if it is like the outside, everything is going to roll to the east end.
1 - Did not give myself extra space around the photographed object so that cropping could be done correctly.
2 - Did not stitch things very well in Photoshop.
Break the rules. Number 5 is broken. "Hold the camera steady." Nope could not do it here. He was moving too fast even while I was moving the camera.
I was once told that there are rules to painting and a good artist knows when to break them. I have been intrigued by the fact that you should not place any thing in the center of a painting as it holds the eye and as soon as you introduce lines that leave the picture the viewers attention is forced away from the canvas well I have done both with this piece and I think it works well. What do you Think ? please let me know.
