One of the photos taken for this week's Macro Mondays theme of Brands and Logos. I wanted something with a bit of interest rather than a flat printed logo, so I was looking for logos that were, for instance etched or embossed.

We have another new set of buses this time curtesy of 466-495 for service 26 but this time they are making their debut on Highland Show service 98. Seen here on a service 98 to Ingilston is brand new Lothian buses 469 caught here making its way along to Haymarket station.

Less than two days will see a transfer of route 186 to Harrow Weald.
First folks on the trail that morning only paw prints ahead of us. Not a long walk to this view point but definitely a slippery one. I found out the hardway by falling and cracking my Singh-Ray fliter. Luckly I had a backup but it's no Singh-Ray. I think it did alright for a brand-x.

Mrs. Ford's love of gardening and horticulture was said to be second only to her devotion to her husband and family. Her tastes in gardening were simple, at least as far as design and color were concerned. She preferred old-fashioned plant varieties such as Bachelor Buttons, Petunias, Irises, Peonies, Tulips, Lillies, Heliotropes, Delphiniums, Forget-Me-Nots, English Primrose, Scilla and, of course, Roses planted in relatively informal patterns. Indoors, her fondness for gardening was expressed by a variety of small cut flowers in small glass vases that were displayed in each room. In addition, there were assortments of foliage plants, especially located in the Swimming Pool area.
Clara Ford spent many hours planning, touring, and pampering her treasured Blue, English, and Rose Gardens, always on the lookout for imperfections such as a misplaced marigold among a sea of aqua and sky-blue blossoms. Her efforts were recognized publicly when she served as a president of the Women's National Farm and Garden Association from 1927-34.
It has been a number of years since the majority of Fair Lane's elaborate gardens have been planted and pampered the way they must have been when Mrs. and Mr. Ford were in residence. Consider, if you will, that Mrs. Ford routinely employed 25 fulltime gardeners in 1926. However, while these gardeners helped to cultivate estate grounds, there were only five servants that maintained the entire residence.
It would be almost impossible for the Henry Ford Estate-Fair Lane, as a non-profit organization, to restore each garden area fully. However, restoration of certain areas to their early 1920's state is now proceeding. The garden scheme being implemented reflects the original plan of Jens Jensen.
If anyone is handing out awards for the friendliest and most accommodating staff in 2016 my vote would go to the security guards and gate staff at Brands Hatch. What a great bunch of people! The world needs more people like that (and fewer people like the entire management team of Southern Rail) . . .

Macro Monday theme of the week is “Brand and Logos”. A-B Octagon logo key FOB is 1.25 inches. A-B stands for Allen-Bradley and is the brand-name of a line of factory automation equipment, today owned by Rockwell Automation.
The Allen-Bradley Clock Tower with octagon clock face is a Milwaukee landmark featuring the largest four-sided clock in the western hemisphere. Photo of it is in my Flicker showcase.

1909 – The company is re-incorporated as the Allen-Bradley® Company

Using my wide-angle lens as a way to preserve the smell of the branding smoke for me, I get in close at 16mm.
Hand picked after turning the stand with the small, tall mirrors in the supermarket about seventy four times.
Spent last night listening to some great music from our friend's band, Branded Moon. Can't beat good country music in old southern place like Catfish Johnny's!
My friends Dave Denby, Dave Sutton and I had a few hours at Brands Hatch racing circuit on one of their open days back in July last year.
I have to say those guy’s are nuts, the speeds they were achieving was frightening.
A portable brander, using a cigarette lighter construction to heat the letters 'til they're red hot and ready to brand anything. I've lost all the letters except for a single A. Explored Jun 13, 2011 #71
