Cupar box interior looking North towards Leuchars. Very tidy and containing a 32 lever frame. The train describer screen can be seen to the left of the big grey box on the block shelf.
Any info on the frame would be appreciated.
The height of the British summer,18th July 2012, saw me and my eldest set off from Nottingham for an Everton pre-season friendly at Dundee. What could go wrong ? Bhy the time we got to Edinburgh at lunch time the evening fixture had already been called off due to a waterlogged pitch !
I had arranged to visit my ex signal school colleague at Tay Bridge South where he was working the afternoon turn so I carried on regardless and pulled in two other boxes on the way.
These are the very grey images from that afternoon.

Small Box Bag to use for Cosmetic Bags

A presentation box for a canteen of cutlery, hand made from English Cherry with a book-matched Yew burr veneer on the top of the lid.
The slots to receive the cutlery were hand cut from plywood and upholstered in felt.
I used Brusso quadrant hinges to enable the lid to remain open at 90 degrees. To maintain clean lines on the box exterior, I used magnets to hold the box closed and created small dimples to assist opening.
The interior is finished with hard wax oil while the exterior is French polished with shellac.

Flat 20-sided tato box by......me?
Not innovative or useful really, but not bad for somebody who knows neither math nor origami and made this from scratch in Photoshop.
The flaps don't really form a nice circle in the center and there's that hole, so does that mean I should try shaving 1mm off the radius or learn to fold better?
CP for pointing out flaws, or storing a flat cookie if you have (the collapsed center touches the base, so spread your Florentine out VERY thin).
Back of a box of pharmacy 1960s.
Looks very nice. Found during emptying my parents' house.
In the box were white folded paper with some powder. I think against diarrhea.

This is my Korg Electribe EMX with a custom set of 'Moog' style knobs. They aren't just pretty, they actually make the EMX feel so much better to tweak. The original knobs were to skinny and cheap for my liking!
The box is all polymer construction and is 70 mm (2.75") diameter x 60 mm (2.4") tall including lid.
The Box Brownie 127 is a classic British-made snapshot camera widely popular in the mid-20th century, especially between 1952 and 1967
The Brownie 127 was introduced in 1952 by Kodak Ltd. in England and quickly became a staple for amateur photography, with over one million units produced by 1954 alone. It was designed as an affordable, easy-to-use camera for mass-market appeal, making photography accessible to virtually everyone.
Three different models were made until 1967, with subtle updates to body shape and viewfinder design. A large portion was also exported to the United States and Canada under the name “Brownie Starlet,” but the core design remained British. Specifications.. 127 roll film, yielding eight 4x6 cm images per roll. Lens: Simple meniscus, f/14, 64mm or 65mm focal length, fixed focus. Shutter: Single speed, rotary; approximately 1/50s. Viewfinder: Optical direct vision, attached to top of camera .

The "Firestar," bandshell design. Holds 80 records (45's) 120 plays. One of Seeburgs "new digital machines." Solid-state TorMat memory unit was a big deal at the time. Rock those 45's!

These boxes hung 6 storeys through the middle of the MegaBox mall. You can text a phone number and your message scrolls up through the boxes (the benefits of a vertically written language, I guess).
Apparently, most of them said things like "I love you" and "Happy Birthday".
Cette fois, ils ont éclatés les cartons...

This time they totally destroyed the cardboardboxes ....

Currently occupied by Tente's Auto Service, this former Texaco station is one of the best-preserved porcelain box stations in Connecticut. Put a banjo sign up at the corner and install some Texaco lettering on the building, and it would be like a museum.
Each year, Gallery Route One in Point Reyes invites over a hundred artists to create unique works of art using a wooden box.
Here are the inspiring artworks they created this year: they range in style from whimsical to poignant and thought-provoking. These photos were taken on closing day, when the gallery organized a live auction for each of this year’s 150 boxes. The proceeds support the gallery’s exhibits and community programs.
Two of the boxes were created by members of our art community: Howard Rheingold (a.k.a. Dr. Rindbrain) contributed an illuminated box called ‘Magical’, while Geo Monley and Meryl Rubenstein made ‘Les Puzzles.’
Members of ‘Pataphysical Studios came to cheer for their peers -- Dr. Really was the highest bidder for Dr. Rindbrain’s piece, which was thus kept in the family. After the show, we all went to Stellina to celebrate over a nice dinner.

... from little acorns grow.
Ancient metal money box which I had as a child. There is something inside and I have lost the key.
"You'd scarce expect one of my age
To speak in public on the stage;
And if I chance to fall below
Demosthenes or Cicero,
Don't view me with a critic's eye,
But pass my imperfections by.
Large streams from little fountains flow,
Tall oaks from little acorns grow..."
David Everett 1770-1813
American newspaper editor, proprietor, and poet.
