The box on the bottom is the one it arrived in. The blue box is the one it was wrapped in, and the bit on top is the actual gift. It's a way cool cutting board from Anna and family for Christmas. But did it have to come in a box 20 sizes too big? :-p
The Copper Box Arena is 115,000 cubic metres in size – larger than the Royal Festival Hall on London’s South Bank. During the Olympic Games, it staged handball and modern pentathlon, with goalball during the Paralympic Games. It is now used as a multi-sports arena.
The top half of the venue is clad in 3,000 sq m of copper with a high recycled content, which will develop a rich natural colour as it ages. It was the first UK sports venue to be naturally lit – 88 rooftop light pipes will achieve annual energy savings of up to 40 per cent.
Construction of the 6,500 capacity venue began in July 2009 and was completed in May 2011. This photograph of the completed venue was taken on 5 July 2012, three weeks before the start of the Olympic Games.

As told by Kristen - the Teacher
I am a college student in an education program and have been working in a second grade classroom in Rochester, NY. The students and I feel very strongly about helping those in need. We came across this site one day during a study of Africa and the kids instantly became eager to help. We have collected the following supplies: Pens/Pencils, Markers/Crayons/Colored Pencils/Paints, Construction Paper, Scissors/Glue/Tape/Staplers, Notebooks/Folders/Filler Paper, Classroom Decorations, Learning Flashcards, Pencil Cases, and other various supplies.
This is a photo of my class and the box of supplies they have collected. So glad we could help!
- outfit perfeito, SUPER detalhado!! *0* E ela é uma doll sem acessórios, veio tudo nela! XD E os sapatinhos ao lado. A cora estava um pouco descosturando da fita, por ser de metal, pesada. Mas colei ela e agora não está caindo! o/
- make dela é adorável! Delicada e fofa e acho que fica com um ar de menina moe, super fofa mesmo! <3 Os lábios parecem formar um 3 invertido e a sombra dos olhos dá um ar ligeiramente caÃdo, todo meigo! *-*
Handmade from fabric and chipboard, and designed to hopefully last a long time! The corners are both machine sewn and glued, and I made 8 dividers to fit. Took me a little time to make this one, as the box was custom built to size, but I love the way it turned out!
A remix of traditional masu box.
Coussinet tutorial here.
2 squares of A4 copy paper.
Coussinet is very useful as handle to grasp the lid.
Knowing my obsessions about tessellations and boxes, someone could have foreseen this !
Drawing box Artwork
I draw these on my ipad on an free app called "drawing box" when I am chillin.
In my latest drawings I use a stylus as before I "finger painted" my work.

"Trapped in a box, four walls as sky
Got a screen for a window about two feet wide
My mind rides and slides as my circuits are fried
No room for thought, use the box as my guide
Trapped in a box I'm not alone
I know of others with a box as their home
Light only enters from a crack or a hole
This is not enough for a human to grow..."
A commentary on gender issues, the Box Project is meant to reflect a woman's feelings of insecurity regarding her body under the scrutiny of a sexually-charged world. The world I live in, the world of twenty-somethings and college parties, has caused me to want to hide my body at times, a body that I am normally very comfortable in and proud of. The models portrayed are passive, so as to let the box speak for itself, and are placed in both public and private places, a nod to the idea that we should feel safe and at home in our bodies no matter where we are.
Awre signal box (SO691072), disused since 1973 (when signalling was centralised at Gloucester) at the junction of the South Wales line and the Forest of Dean Central Railway, a 'pointless' line running from Awre Jn to Howbeach Colliery literally in the middle of nowhere (SO639088). Between here and Gloucester, signals are controlled by Gloucester box; westwards to Lydney and beyond is controlled from Newport, bar a small area still controlled by Lydney box for the level crossing there. The box, altho' not looking its best, is kept in reserve for use in an emergency should the box at Lydney fail. Said box at Lydney is, I understand, due for closure sometime soon? Awre box opened in 1909, replacing an earlier one originally sited opposite.
Thai Police Box with Air Con ! This is one of the standard small ones.mostly too be found at major road junctions. You can control the traffic lights from this box.
Others can be a lot bigger. This is a new box The old one was just like a bus shelter !!! With a number of seats,For miscreants to wait. Usually people with no crash helmets. Fine payable at the local police station 300 baht about six pounds, You are only fined once a day.So you are free to ride without one for the rest of the day !!! Though they make you wait to pay the fine as extra punishment.
Some of these boxes are sponsored by companies. With the companies logo every where. And hard to tell that they are police boxes.Especially when there are no police in attendance. Some are outrageously decorated for want of a better word. The chair belongs to the police box.Thats for his friends to sit on when going past.
Mind you bear in mind it`s very hot and humid.
As an aside the uniforms are changing to a different type.At the moment they are very military looking with the crash helmets ,big boots and tight trousers.
But it`s being changed to standard dress.to promote a more friendly appearance.
Ha! Ha! Ha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Walking around Hampstead i noticed this old wall post box there are still a few left in London that are still being used in this age of high technology. This one is probably from the Victiorian era so they are still in competition with the internet email I wonder when their day is up I can't see this model on the following link so I only guess it is Victorian. www.norvic-philatelics.co.uk/2009/images/090818_postbox_s...
I have since come back to this description and I have now noticed that at the top of this post box there is a V space R that must stand for victoria regina.
Box Turtles are some of the longest lived and slowest reproducing species in the world. When a box turtle first hatches from its egg it is a mere 1.25 inches long. Little is known about the lives of young box turtles because they are so secretive and hard to find. In fact, it is very rare to find a box turtle much smaller than about 3.5 or 4 inches long. It is thought that these young turtles spend most of their time concealed in brush and leaf litter and feed primarily on insects. Box turtles generally grow slowly, reaching sexual maturity at between 7 and 10 years old and 5 or 6 inches in length. Once mature, a female box turtle will lay between 3 and 6 eggs each spring in a shallow nest. The eggs are left unguarded and hatch in the late summer or early fall when hatching occurs. Box turtles commonly reach 25-30 years of age and there are well-documented cases of them living to 40 or even 50 years.
From:

Turtle age can be estimated in younger turtles by counting the growth rings on the carapace. This method of age determination is only useful until about 10-15 years of age. As box turtles mature, growth rings wear down and become indistinguishable.
The male on this picture is 15 years old.
This is a "pill box" on Aberdeen beach, left behind from the Second World War. Soldiers would keep a watch out for the invaders. Over the years the boxes have moved... further along the beach, some are still in the dunes, on the grass. Most are at funny angles. This is the fourth or fifth one to the North from the River Don. At low-tide, more are visible, as well as concrete blocks to hinder any landing tanks.
This photo has been converted to b/w, the contrast and brightness increased significantly and then coloured adding a bit of red, half the amount of green and subtracting the green amount from the blue to give an extreme sepia look.
The new Nonesuch Doll box is going to be a two piece rigid set-up box with a black chipboard interior and a deep blue-green paper exterior. The Nonesuch Garden insignia will be stamped in silver foil on the lid. The inside dimensions will be 6x4x4 inches, creating a spacious bed for Nonesuch Dolls of all shapes and sizes!
This box will be manufactured in the USA by a company that is dedicated to protecting the environment. The chipboard is made with 100% recycled content and the cover paper is dyed with water-based inks. This sturdy box will be reusable, recyclable, and gentle on the Earth.
To raise funds to get these beautiful custom boxes made, I have started a Kickstarter campaign. Please check it out, make a pledge, and/or spread the word!
Thank you so much!
I dont know what happened to me but my imagination has been so weak for a while. I couldnt come up with any design and I was getting anxious!
My client requested a mum/nurse/ girlie cake, how could I combine all that into a cake? I thought of a box full of nursing stuff and children's toys (well not exatly reality but..) so I decided to make a girlie box with children and nurse stuff in it!
This was a last minute design! I cant even believe that I did all that in 4 hours!
I hope my client is happy with the finished product :)
The pill boxes (as they were called during WW2) were built high on the east facing cliffs and manned 24/7. The folks were to act as sirens for anything untoward they saw during thier shifts and allerting the defenses of the island. They did not work well during the attack on Pearl Harbor! These boxes were made on concrete and about 8 feet square with concrete top and bottom. Slits were built in for viewing. you can see one on the cliff in the upper left and one next to but left of the the tall palm tree. These boxes now appear to be more attractive for folks to gather together to read the Bible and pray. Best viewed large. All rights reserved.
Before they were covered in medium weight muslin. Each fixture is individually controllable to maximize the effects possible. The fixtures used are ETC Vivid-R LED fixtures with V40 and H40 lenses in each.

Taken 25/02/15; The signal box is still standing, but I understand it was taken out of use on the weekend of 14th/15th February 2015.
Looking towards the site of Bolton West SB after resignalling & the demolition of the signal box had taken place.
Some of the redundant trackwork & flat crossings are yet to be removed in this shot.
One of my numerous hobbies. The heart shaped box was bought from Tiimari and coated with napkins and gloss varnish. The varnish wasn't added yet when the picture was taken. This one probably goes to my sister for her to use as a gift box.
Wall-e, like the kittens, have a thing for boxes. He also loved the new song The Pumpkins released today.
