...Brey’s “boxes” are only boxes in a single sense. They appear ordinary and familiar from the outside, but at the point of contact, interaction or performance they begin to unfold. The material and situational complexity of works like Sutra, 2010, The Black Cube, 2012, Water 2013, The Uncanny, 2015 and others, reveal themselves to be constellations within a Caribbean universe. Through them, Brey speaks to the infinity of the natural world, the sublime possibilities of one’s dreams and imagination. In part, thee works also act as psychological container of fractured history, blurred and concise memories and through material, form and experience, enter the fifth dimension. Downtown OKC
Open during lunch hours M-F only
The Lunch Box has been a downtown OKC fixture for over 60 years now. Established in 1948 by John Papahronis, the Lunch Box is known for its great lunch specials and especially for its yummy pies. After John retired in the 60's, his son, Johnny, took over the thriving business and remained there until 2001 when he retired. When he sold the business, he taught the new owners all of the original recipes, so the food at the Lunch Box today is exactly as it has always been, which is probably why there's always a line out the door during lunchtime!
On Corfu in Greece, the German tourists have their own mail boxes! The spider web icon on the right indicates that delivery may take a little longer. Not shure wether the broken script indicates that mail posted here is only delivered to Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the World of Calligraphers though. Anyway, all of my holiday postcards made it all the way to their destinations in various countries :–)

Zeiss Box Tengor Box Cameras Were Rightly Regarded As The 'Rolls-Royces' Of Box Cameras, Although That Perhaps Should Be More Correctly The 'Mercedes-Benzes'. However, To Be Honest They Were Also The Most Expensive Box Cameras On Sale Anywhere. They Predate Even The 1926 Zeiss-Ikon Name, In That They Were Made Before Then By Goerz., Which Is The Reason Their Lenses Were Labelled 'Goerz Frontar'.
My Four Tengors Are, From L To R: A 1930 Type 54/2; A 1936 Later Type 54/2; A 1950 Type 55/2; And A 1956 Type 56/2. All Use 120 Reel Film In 6 X 9 cm Format - Although There Were Others In Smaller And Larger Formats. The Small IB In The Foreground Is An Original 1933 Edition In English For The Types 54, 54/2 and 54/15.
Surprisingly Perhaps, The Rarest Of All These Four Is The 55/2 Which Was Made For Barely A Year Before Bieng Replaced By The 56/2.

If the integrity of a box is damaged, it is better to pack items that are not large and heavy. Make sure to always use boxes marked with 'fragile' sign for such items.

One of my finds from Saturday's antique market: two vintage ring boxes, quite worn but still charming. One box reads "W.E. Watts Ltd, 25 St. James Street, Derby, Founded 1858", the other is unmarked. They look like leather but are some sort of light wood.
Let me out of here!
I'm feeling a bit boxed in by work and stuff at the moment. And by doing this project too (although, of course, sometimes it's wonderfully freeing).

As I was walking down the trail at Susquehanna State Park (Picnic area) early on the morning of May 17, 2015, I encountered this Box Turtle. I love these guys!

Steam rises from the Beloit Box Board paper mill below the dam in Beloit.
All the waste paper collected curbside by Beloit's municipal trash pickup is recycled here. The crews who pick up trash are good enough at spotting non-compliant paper waste, that the trucks just dump it here and it goes straight into the pulp vat to create box board. The box board made here is often found as the gray or brown cardboard backing material on notepads of paper like you buy at Staples.
(When you see a black spot on those cardboard backs, that means there was a bit of grease or oil in the paper stock. That's bad in large quantities which is why we can't recycle pizza boxes, waxed food packaging, or containers with food residue.)
The mill doesn't pay the City for the recycled paper dropped off here. Instead, the city saves a ton of money by not having fully loaded trucks leave town taking the paper to some recycling center that would pay for the waste paper. The savings in fuel more than offsets the loss of recycling revenue. (Compacted paper is some pretty HEAVY stuff!)

The cable that had been installed to hold the glove box door level when opened had broken, so I went looking for a replacement closer to the original mechanism.
This part came from James Paddock in the UK.
Do not mount the fitting too high on the door or the top of the slide portion will strike the top of the inside of the glove box when the door is closed. The position to mount the fitting inside the glove box seems correct as found in the car.
