An old wooden box my great-grandmother gave me. The lock is broken and the key is lost, but I think it's beautiful <3
My girls had a birthday party to go to and I totally forgot. So we took a wooden box we had that was not that pretty and covered it with paper and used the DT to dress it up. Oh and a handle at the top. It is a mazing what a little paper can do.
I got lot of hobbies (maybe too much)...
I opened one time the video game box, and now Pandora affects me and it's one of them.

Thai Police Box with Air Con ! This is one of the standard small ones.mostly too be found at major road junctions.You can control the traffic lights from this box.
Others can be a lot bigger.This is a new box The old one was just like a bus shelter !!! With a number of seats,For miscreants to wait. Usually people with no crash helmets. Fine payable at the local police station 300 baht about six pounds, You are only fined once a day.So you are free to ride without one for the rest of the day !!! Though they make you wait to pay the fine as extra punishment.
Some of these boxes are sponsored by companies.With the companies logo every where. And hard to tell that they are police boxes.Especially when there are no police in attendance.Some are outrageously decorated for want of a better word. The chair belongs to the police box.Thats for his friends to sit on when going past.
Mind you bear in mind it`s very hot and humid.
As an aside the uniforms are changing to a different type.At the moment they are very military looking with the crash helmets ,big boots and tight trousers.
But it`s being changed to standard dress.to promote a more friendly appearance.

Yup, I kept track as I removed them. 164 nails and 18 screws (not counting those attaching hardware) held together a box barely 13 x 8. The drawers alone had 35 nails each. That's some craftsmanship!

I dont know what happened to me but my imagination has been so weak for a while. I couldnt come up with any design and I was getting anxious!
My client requested a mum/nurse/ girlie cake, how could I combine all that into a cake? I thought of a box full of nursing stuff and children's toys (well not exatly reality but..) so I decided to make a girlie box with children and nurse stuff in it!
This was a last minute design! I cant even believe that I did all that in 4 hours!
I hope my client is happy with the finished product :)
I am trying to make a habit of creating boxes at the beginning of a project to hold all the many items which would otherwise go walk about.
My recent work with a group of local poets has resulted in some experiments involving interactive books.
This box holds samples of graphic and colourful pull tabs, flaps and tags.

A commentary on gender issues, the Box Project is meant to reflect a woman's feelings of insecurity regarding her body under the scrutiny of a sexually-charged world. The world I live in, the world of twenty-somethings and college parties, has caused me to want to hide my body at times, a body that I am normally very comfortable in and proud of. The models portrayed are passive, so as to let the box speak for itself, and are placed in both public and private places, a nod to the idea that we should feel safe and at home in our bodies no matter where we are.

This is a "pill box" on Aberdeen beach, left behind from the Second World War. Soldiers would keep a watch out for the invaders. Over the years the boxes have moved... further along the beach, some are still in the dunes, on the grass. Most are at funny angles. This is the fourth or fifth one to the North from the River Don. At low-tide, more are visible, as well as concrete blocks to hinder any landing tanks.
This photo has been converted to b/w, the contrast and brightness increased significantly and then coloured adding a bit of red, half the amount of green and subtracting the green amount from the blue to give an extreme sepia look.

Brigham City is a city in Box Elder County, Utah, United States. The population was 17,899 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Box Elder County. It lies on the western slope of the Wellsville Mountains, a branch of the Wasatch Range at the western terminus of Box Elder Canyon. Mormon pioneer William Davis first explored the Brigham City area in 1850. He returned with his family and others a year later to create permanent homes. Brigham Young directed Lorenzo Snow to create a self-sufficient city at the site in 1853. Snow directed both religious and political affairs in the settlement, eventually naming it Box Elder in 1855. Brigham Young gave his last public sermon there in 1877 shortly before his death, and the name of the town was changed to Brigham City after the church president. In 1864, the cooperative movement began in earnest with the creation of a mercantile co-op store and was an important element of the United Order of Enoch. Other industries were added, and the Brigham City Co-op is widely recognized as the most successful of the Mormon Co-op ventures. Economic hardships brought an end to the Co-op in 1895, though the Co-op had first started selling businesses off in 1876.
Despite layoffs over the past decade, much of Brigham City's economy relies on Thiokol, the creator of many missiles, as well as the solid rocket booster for the Space Shuttle. Additionally, the local Autoliv (formerly a part of Thiokol) airbag plants also net Brigham City many jobs. The addition of a Walmart distribution center in nearby Corinne has also brought new jobs.

Back home when I viewed this shot I thought there was someting odd about it, but it wasn't until I looked at my March 2008 photo of the same box, and photos of other red boxes that I clocked the difference. Instead of the traditional TELEPHONE on a white background, there is a black band under HM's Crown. See comment below.
You may be surprised to know it's in working order, which is just as well as I still need it!
The hinged lid can be adjusted to various degrees in relation to the base. The base is adjusted via the tripod head. So it could be tilted back almost flat for water color.
The signal box and a (recently repainted) semaphore signal at Gainsborough's Central Station, opened in July 1849 by the Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway Company. The signal is a later LNER design - the LNER took over this line from the MS&LR's successor, The Great Central.

The one lone box I saved from my teenage collection. Not sure why I like it so much - maybe because my birthday is July 20th (exactly 2 years after the moon landing)
