This box lid was inspired by some Pysanka egg designs and i wanted to capture the feel of them in glass. Its not the largest box I have ever done, but it was one of the most difficult and intricate. The tree in the diamond in the center is only 1.5 inches high. I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

Terraced homes on New Cross Street, West Bowling, have a grandstand view over Bowling Old Lane Cricket Club's Birch Lane ground. In this picture, taken from the north end, the hosts are fielding during the latter stages of a dramatic four-run victory over Townville. For the visitors, beaten with five balls to spare, it was a first defeat of the season in the Championship B division of the All Rounder Cricket Equipment Bradford League.
The contest featured two important partnerships. Bowling Old Lane were in trouble at 124-5 before Ayyaz Akram and Bilal Ejaz added 107 in an unbroken stand for the sixth wicket. Similarly, Castleford-based Townville, having slumped to 108-6, were grateful for a seventh-wicket stand worth 97 shared by Timothy Walton and Nadim Hussain. The visitors required five off the final over but their last wicket went to the first delivery.
Match statistics: Bowling Old Lane 231-6 off 50 overs (Ayyaz Akram 62 not out, Bilal Ejaz 51 not out, Adal Islam 37, Ahsan Butt 34, Jack Hebden 2-35) 20pts beat Townville 227 off 49.1 overs (Timothy Walton 72, Jonathan Booth 51, Nadim Hussain 42, Sadaqat Zaman 4-48) 7pts by four runs. Townville won the toss and elected to field. Admission: free. Programme: none. Attendance: 25. Cricket tea: £2.50 (two samosas, two Indian spring rolls, chips, cheese & tomato open sandwich, two cakes and a mug of tea!).
Bowling Old Lane Cricket Club were formed in 1905 and joined the Bradford League a decade later. Their Birch Lane ground is in the city's West Bowling district. England and Yorkshire trio Bill Athey, Darren Gough and Martyn Moxon count amongst their more recent graduates. Old Lane claimed the league and Priestley Cup double in their debut season (1915) and secured further championships in 1923, 1924 and 1978. They lifted the Priestley Cup in 1920, 1922 and 1968. The Division Two championship trophy ended up at Birch Lane on five occasions, the most recent in 2006.

„Von diesem Jungen werdet ihr noch hören“, kündigte Mecklenburgs Landestrainer Christian Morales den 14jährigen Benno Fuhrmann an. Der Junge trainiert bei Andy Schiemann in Schwerin. Seine Box-Laufbahn begann vor vier Jahren. „Ich war Schwimmer, musste aber wegen gesundheitlichen Probleme an den Ohren aufhören. Durch einen Bekannten kam ich dann zum Boxen. Es hat mir gleich gefallen und ich bin immer noch dabei.“
Im Gym bewegt sich der leichte Kämpfer schnell und variabel. Mutig umtanzt er seine meist größeren und schwereren Trainingspartner, die den Wirbelwind selten treffen. Nach unserem Besuch verließ Fuhrmann das Gym allerdings mit einem dicken Auge. „Ich habe in der letzten Runde nicht aufgepasst und wurde von einem Aufwärtshaken getroffen. Aber kein Problem“, so Fuhrmann. In der Sportschule Schwerin findet er ideale Bedingungen. Neben dem Training (2mal pro Tag) geht er, nur wenige Meter vom Boxring entfernt, in die 9. Klasse des Sportgymnasiums.
Von seinen Möglichkeiten hat er die Verantwortlichen in Mecklenburg Vorpommern bereits überzeugt. Für das kommende „Top Team Nord“ ist Fuhrmann bereits gesetzt. Durch eine individuelle Förderung will Landestrainer Morales seinem Kämpfer dessen größten Traum erfüllen - die Teilnahme an den Olympischen Spielen. Kurzfristig trainiert der sympathische Sportler für das „Turnier der olympischen Hoffnung“. Das Potenzial eines Spitzenkämpfers hat der Deutsche Vizemeister von 2011 allemal. Wer den talentierten Boxer live sehen möchte, kann sich demnächst in Berlin und Hamburg ein Bild vom Benno Fuhrmann machen.

Mr Box Turtle and I were picking blackberries in the front yard. Hadn't seen the rascal in a while, it has been here for the 32 yrs that I bave lived here and he will likely out live me as they get to be 150 or so. Always enjoy seeing it. Check it's video out. The Muscadinevines seem to provide a challenge for him. .
The only clues that I have so far are these. On the back of one of the boxes there is some hand writing:

My first attempt at a box instead of making a cake I made peanut butter rice Krispy treats and covered it with chocolate ganache as you can see the ganache was still soft when I applied the fondant to the lid..YIKE!!! but all in all I think it turned out ok...just need some more practice
Picked these up at Giant Eagle yesterday in a display in the aisle of the baby stuff. They also had a round one tier box like the square one that was a little smaller and (I think) had a built in dip container.
The box on the left was $3.50 and the "cereal container" on the right was $6.50.
They also had Diego, Disney Princess and Spiderman themed containers. Made by "Zak" and dubbed "EZ Freeze."

'Tainmunta' - Kaurna language for mistletoe
A grilled mushroom, some baba ganoush, some stuffed green olives, some kalamata olives, some tabouli, some Moroccan chickpeas on couscous, some pitta bread and a slice of orange & almond cake covered in chocolate ganache.
Art installation by David Mach, entitled 'Out of Order'. It comprises a set of red phone boxes which have seemingly toppled over like dominoes. On the Old London Road in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, England.
