After a busy morning working in the garden, I went out there with the camera & was surprised to find this. I think it is a Box Bug. Prior to 1990 only found within a few kilometers of Box hill Surrey but since then spreading slowly north. Just a very few records so far for our area
A old Chessie System box car sits on the siding at Fuller yard in Grand Rapids, Michigan. These cars had been sitting east of Lowell, Michigan for the past few years. Now they are tearing up the tracks in that area. Good by to apart of American History
Horrible webcam photos. Lost my camera, so this is what I have to resort to.
Micro braids, self installed 6-8 hours, all natural hair, no extensions. Braids braided together to look curly.
The box is surprisingly flimsy -- it's just basic glossy cardstock. Her certificate of authenticity comes inside her box.
Although this diagram differs slightly from the actual structural configuration encountered at 2222 Faraon, it does show how box beams are constructed and how box gutters are designed to collect water run off from the roof.

Storage boxes that my daughter and I created using very inexpensive plastic containers, some fabric, a little thought, and some ribbon! :) They work great and look even better!

Bristlecone Pine jewelry boxes
These rustic-appearing beautiful jewelry boxes (or desk organizers!) are made from Bristle Cone Pine that was burned over by a forest fire in the 1880's. Bristle Cone Pine grows high in the Rocky Mountains at 8000 feet and over, and is the oldest living thing in the world. These boxes are made from trees that are 200 to 1000 years old.
The boxes are hand made in the San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado, US, and finished with a fine Danish oil.

How do creative professionals who are paid to think outside the box express themselves? At Corey McPherson Nash, we do it inside the box—a shallow, glass-topped, wooden box, to be exact.
14 years ago we resuscitated the quaint craft of shadow-box making and turned it into a company ritual. The rules are simple: Don't go outside the box, and don't put anything living inside the box. But the object is ambitious: to provide a hands-on tutorial in Corey McPherson Nash's organizational culture. "Our basic operating principle is to define broad goals, supply a little structure, and then give people the freedom to do creative work."
With the shadow boxes, that principle has produced wildly diverse visions. Among the completed boxes: a vivid frightscape, complete with a crank for animating dancing-devil cutouts; a meditation on "what it could have been," featuring a loose marble and a list of design possibilities; and Tom Corey's own taxonomy of "bad seeds."

I captured this one just after 5:00pm as the sun created long shadows and provided weaker light. This white mail box was eye catcher among trees and green grass. I wanted sharper details in the image,but I will settle on the elements of the composition.
The box office of the Loew's Jersey Movie Palace in Jersey City on Journal Square. This theater was built in 1928 and is currently being restored by volunteers.
Added a sepia filter to make this photo appear older than it is. The box itself has obviously been there for a number of years, surprisingly it has a new sign and lock so I think it is probably still used by the local police.
Fitting the original blind box back in. When Hanover fitted the LED's they also ripped all the dest lights out. So new light unit's have been fitted. Here seen on the floor being wired up.
Another shot courtesy of Flickr user m20wc51, this one scanned from a square format slide, either 126 or 127 film, and showing an amusement park in New York in the summer of 1967. Let's pretend it's the July 4th weekend; or maybe it's Memorial Day. My own family slides include a lot of "square" images like this, and at about the same level of detail, meaning this was shot either with a box camera, or some sort of Instamatic. The latter were relatively new at that date, and favoured by home shooters simply because they were much much easier to load than a roll film camera.
This one was already fairly clean, except for some relatively minor dust and debris, but the colour was quite faded, and had gone much to purple, with yellows not well represented. You can find the original here, for purposes of comparison.
I ate the contents of this confectionary box in 80's or early 90's, but kept the beautiful box. It now contains old love letters and pictures of exes. My father's got it from some visiting japanese businessmen. It's one of the earlyest things I remember having sparked my interest in Japan.
I made this box by hand and then used traditional carving tools to hand carve it . The box design based on a medieval reliquary .The carving is a traditional chip carving design . The cool thing about this type of carving is it's done with a single knife . It's made from poplar wood not that great a wood . Usually hidden or stained , or painted . I think it turned out all right ,but not my favorite .
