When I was in grade school and invited to a birthday party, I would go to our cousin’s country grocery store and get a cigar box and fill it with candy. It cost next to nothing comparatively and every recipient liked it. When I turned 50, my friend Teresa reciprocated with this Tampa Nugget box. ANSH Round 142

Shortened to Crosfields SB when NR refurbished it. The box is listed for closure when the signalling upgrade occurs along the low level with the semaphores being removed and colour lights controlled by Monks Siding box.

I have made this model five times and have not been able to get it perfectly square. It is a fun idea for duo paper, though.

on the back of the box of the appendix, we can see all the included addional items: a new mask, new hands and new wings for the cloth totem, etc... in comparison to Saga's, Radamanthys and Seiya's appendixes, I find that Shaka has a lot of addional items.

What is the "Brown Box Challenge" you ask? It was the brainchild of Hally Brown of the Sandwich Photographic Society. The intent to spark creativity and inspire participants to pick up our cameras in the winter, a time in which many of us suffer from cabin fever. Participants were given a select set of items in a non-descript brown box and had to submit 1 final image based on those items. How the image was taken did not matter, so long as every item in the box had to be used in some form or fashion. Beyond that, the rules were fairly simple:

The Rules:

The Must Do’s:

• Each of the items in the box must be used in the final image.

• Each of the items in the box must be easily identified in the final image.

• The only exception is, there is the Zip-Lock Bag in the box, the bag it’s self is not one of the items. There are multiple items in the bag and you can use any number of them in the final image.

• Your image must be lit using some form of lighting other than ambient. Light painting, Flash, or any other form of lighting is acceptable.

The Can Do’s:

• You can crop or use any portion of an item it must be easily identifiable in the final image.

• You can use each item more than once if you like. (Yes, Photoshop can be used).

• You can add any other component you want to the image (Please keep it clean).

The Cant Do’s:

• The items cannot be physically altered in any way.

• You can’t discuss the items in the box with anyone.

• Do not share your photos with anyone until the challenge is over. You may be giving ideas to the participants of the challenge.

In my box were the following items:

• Minion character

• Hot Wheels convertible car

• Some little "dude" action figure

• Bolt

• Mini alphebet blocks consisting of nearly every letter of the alphabet (A, E, U were missing from my set)

• Swatch of gray felt

I chose to photograph each item individually using a Foldio3 lightbox (purchased from a 2017 Kickstarter campaign) and assemble them in Photoshop. To test the Foldio lightbox, I decided to throw in some action figures & models that I had collected over the years so I could get my lighting right. I liked the results, and opted to create a "battle" scene, with the intent to incorporated everything. However, with time winding down before the deadline, only a few Zoids action figures made the cut.

In the final image above, 18 individual images were assembled in Photoshop to created this "battle" mosaic. Two different images of the same bolt were duplicated, while a few letter blocks were also repeated. Two different angles of the gray felt were also colorized to create the "fireball" look on the lion and gorilla Zoids.

One of 11 rolls of exposed film purchased from a deceased estate. The film was in a large tin box full of random film goodies including loads of 35mm tin canisters, unexposed rolls of various 35mm films, handfuls of 120 and 620 spools, Ilford FP3 120 exp Mar 1963, Verichrome Pan exp Oct 1973 still in the original box, 11 rolls of exposed Kodak Verichrome Pan 120 and ADOX R21 620. It was the 35mm tin canisters that caught my eye but the real gem was the exposed found film.

Developing: Not knowing how the film was stored I decided to do a stand development.

For a promotion for our Christmas series I created a box that has all the info for our series and our Christmas Eve services that we will give to our members to give to their friends.

The boxes will be handed out flat to all the members a couple weeks prior to the series in the service. They will then watch a short funny video showing them how to fold the box. They on the way out they will be able to grab more to take home, assemble, fill, and hand out.

There will also be a website to go to get more info that is still being created.

I have tried out the folding instructions on a few of the staff and it seems pretty easy to understand. So what do you think? Is it enough info, too much? What would you do different.

The Music Box Theatre was completed in 1929 at 3733 N. Southport Ave. in a building that included nine storefronts and 32 apartments. The building was designed by Louis A. Simon, a local architect who was better known for his Depression-era WPA Post Offices and homes for the nouveau riche. Between 1977 and 1983, the Music Box was used sporadically for Spanish language, pornographic and Arabic language films. In 1983, management reopened the theater with a format of double-feature revival and repertory films. Eventually, foreign films were reinstated, and independent and cult films were added to the roster. In 1991, management added a second screen. Rather than split the main theater in two, a small theater was built in an existing storefront adjacent to the lobby.
