Sandhill crane pairs flying here and there at Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife refuge in New Mexico. I have photographed these birds for years and never tire of their beauty and personalities.

Know the "tells" of the bird/animal you are photographing. The crane in the lead on the far right is standing in the perfect pre-flight pose, neck stretched out, body at a near 45 degree angle. So, aim the camera at him and get ready for his take off!
