John 3:1-18 "There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This was Ray Hunter's farm in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, near Berwick or Middleton. In 1974 Ray and his wife started the Born Again Barn ministry, which attracted many new converts who were being led out of the traditional denominations. We sat around on hay bales. In the summer of 1974 the Hunter's hosted a music festival which included a chalk artist. I invited my hippie friends from Qua Qua farm (later renamed "The Garden of Jesus") and even though I told them it was Christian rock music, they only heard rock music. As a result, most of them got saved that summer. Perry, his wife (Elizabeth?) and Mark and Beth Crosby are the one's I remember.
To Be Seen
If we’re not looking up at God, we’re looking inward at ourselves and outward at each other. The result? Quarreling families. Restless leaders. Fence-building. No trespassing signs.
If we see only ourselves, our tombstones will have the same epitaph Paul used to describe enemies of Christ: “Their god is their own appetite, they glory in their shame, and this world is the limit of their horizon” (Philippians 3:19).
It’s why God came near. To be seen. It’s why those who saw Him were never the same. Christianity, in its purest form, is nothing more than seeing Jesus. And Christian service is nothing more than imitating Him whom we see. The Bible says, “Unless a man is born again, He cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).
God came near. There is no truth more worthy of your time.

Growing up, I was forced to eat whatever was put in front of my face, no ifs, ands, or buts. By the time I was five years old I was already fat, to the point where, on the rare occasion my dad would come over, he'd be like, "STOP FEEDING HER!"
I was force fed up until I was 19, when I moved out.
Even if I wasn't hungry, I was threatened to have the food dumped on my head if I didn't finish. I would always feel sick and since I wasn't allowed to go out or do anything, naturally, all I could do was get fat. From the world's standpoint, one couldn't really blame me for hating myself and trying to be "bulimic" and "anorexic" since I could do nothing about my situation.

Was out traipsing in the woods this afternoon, enjoying a beautiful fall day. Came upon some abandoned vehicles and caught this - which I thought was timely.

UPDATE: Meredith tells me she saw this guy last weekend as well. However, instead of preaching about Jesus he was drinking rum out of a 7-11 cup. Apparently God's work includes drinking in public
Metro Praise elder, and the woman who discipled me over the summer. She immediately began teaching me about God and the Bible as soon as I came to Metro Praise in May. She is by far one of the mightiest women of God I know, as well as one of the boldest and smartest. I love her more than words can say, for how much she's put up with from me.
Don't mess with the Grizzly bear. Serious.
Lauren began attending the School of Urban Missions and moved into the dorm in January with Olivia. Lauren has an amazing testimony and she is absolutely crazy, in the best way. She teaches Olivia about Jesus, and it reminds me of when I was a "baby" and Vanessa and Griselda taught me.

Saturday afternoon, Temple Bar, Dublin. Who would have thought it necessary to turn the Irish towards god? In 2007, these rather shouty born again christians find it necessary to take the streets of Ireland's capital city to convert the heathen Irish to the word of god. Not many listened, some took photos, as souvenirs. But god, did they talk a load of muck.
