" You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

I'm not going to say I was full blown bulimic, but I hated my body enough to try it a few times. After several failed attempts, I quit trying, but I tried to starve myself whenever possible.

One of the many blessing Tony enjoyed during this year's Ambassadors' Academy season was the opportunity to present a message to the Academy participants entitled "Don't Quit." The response to the message has been such that those, at Living Waters, have decided to publish it as a CD.

Here's the artwork for the CD and slipcase cover.

Dale Jackson, the graphic artist for Living Waters, created the artwork. Dale used a photo taken by Chris Yarzab during the October Ambassadors' Academy and turned it into an oil painting. The photo captures the theme of the message.

You can read the story behind the picture by clicking on this link.

thelawmanchronicles.blogspot.com/2008/11/preaching-and-be...

Evangelism, when done biblically, is hard work. It should always be a labor of love, but it can be quite difficult at times. Whether you are a seasoned evangelist or just learning to share your faith in a biblical way, you must persevere.

"Don’t Quit" is an impassioned plea to Christians to persevere in every aspect of their evangelism efforts. Lives are at stake. If you love God and you love people, then you must never quit. This message will encourage you to stay in the good fight for the souls of lost people.

Here's one comment we received about the message, from on of our October Academy participants.

"The most important thing I learned from this message is that no matter what the response, how hard the labor is, how lonely you feel, or what the results seem to be, just keep on going and don’t even think of quitting." – Angela (New Zealand).

The CD and artwork went to replication, today. "Don't Quit" should be available through Living Waters, in 2-3 weeks.Tony will keep you posted.

We hope the Lord uses this message and the proclamation of the Law and the Gospel it contains to encourage the brethren and to evangelize the lost.

Pray with Tony and ask that the Lord does this, for His glory.

My Friend: I am asking you the most important question of life. Your joy or your sorrow for all eternity

depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if

you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?

God says in order to go to Heaven, you must be born again. In John 3:7, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Ye must be

born again.”

In the Bible God gives us the plan of how to be born again which means to be saved. His plan is simple! You

can be saved today. How?

First, my friend, you must realize you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”

(Romans 3:23).

Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. “For the wages [payment] of sin is death” (Romans

6:23). This includes eternal separation from God in Hell.

“ . . . it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).

But God loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place.

“ . . . He hath made Him [Jesus, Who knew no sin] to be sin for us . . . that we might be made the righteousness

of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus had to shed His blood and die. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood” (Lev. 17:11). “ . . . without

shedding of blood is no remission [pardon]” (Hebrews 9:22).

“ . . . God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

(Romans 5:8).

Although we cannot understand how, God said my sins and your sins were laid upon Jesus and He died in our

place. He became our substitute. It is true. God cannot lie.

My friend, “God . . . commandeth all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30). This repentance is a change of

mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner, and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the Cross.

In Acts 16:30-31, the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas: “ . . . ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they

said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved . . . .’ ”

Simply believe on Him as the one who bore your sin, died in your place, was buried, and whom God

resurrected. His resurrection powerfully assures that the believer can claim everlasting life when Jesus is

received as Savior.

“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe

on His name” (John 1:12).

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).

Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved means not maybe, nor can, but shall be saved.

Surely, you realize you are a sinner. Right now, wherever you are, repenting, lift your heart to God in prayer.

In Luke 18:13, the sinner prayed: “God be merciful to me a sinner.” Just pray: “Oh God, I know I am a sinner.

I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and

resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift

of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen.”

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no

lodge, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. All of it!

God’s simple plan of salvation is: You are a sinner. Therefore, unless you believe on Jesus Who died in your

place, you will spend eternity in Hell. If you believe on Him as your crucified, buried, and risen Savior, you

receive forgiveness for all of your sins and His gift of eternal salvation by faith.

You say, “Surely, it cannot be that simple.” Yes, that simple! It is scriptural. It is God’s plan. My friend, believe

on Jesus and receive Him as Savior today.

If His plan is not perfectly clear, read this tract over and over, without laying it down, until you understand

it. Your soul is worth more than all the world.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).

Be sure you are saved. If you lose your soul, you miss Heaven and lose all. Please! Let God save you this very

moment.

God’s power will save you, keep you saved, and enable you to live a victorious Christian life. “There hath no

temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted

above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1

Corinthians 10:13).

Do not trust your feelings. They change. Stand on God’s promises. They never change. After you are saved,

there are three things to practice daily for spiritual growth:

Pray -- you talk to God.

Read your Bible -- God talks to you.

Witness -- you talk for God.

You should be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as a public testimony of your salvation, and

then unite with a Bible-believing church without delay. “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of

our Lord . . . .” (2 Timothy 1:8)

“Whosoever therefore shall confess [testify of] Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which

is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32).

...but of love, power, and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

In the beginning of 2008, I began to experience this very bizarre thing. I would panic on the train, and in class. Whenever I would be around people, I would start to get hot, sweat a lot, then get cold, shake, and become extremely nauseated. It gradually got worse and worse to the point where I had no idea what to do with myself. My grandma forbid me from going to counseling despite the fact that I truly had to face it: I had a panic disorder, becoming more than a little agoraphobic. This severely hindered my social interaction. Only the Lord knows how I held down a job at my school's photography darkroom for a semester while this was happening. Nightmares accompanied, and the devil attacked me on a daily basis because I was so weak in my faith and extremely backslidden.

form follows function; hey! we're out of dijon and yogurt!!! some foodnetwork cooks make $ telling us what we already know: don't waste food; everything can be recycled! mom and gran were resourceful women; they had more disposable income. we use up every last drop of stuff in jars. we must make our jars more than half full. recipe is so arbitrary:

Born Again My Dijon

1/2 -1 tsp Maille Dijon in it's jar

dash vinegar (i used cider vinegar)

2-4 oz plain yogurt

1/4 tsp dried parsley or fresh if you have it

1/4 -2 tsp paprika or cayenne or sazon goya w annatto

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion flakes or powder

dash lemon juice

here's the deal: use vinegar to loosen mustard from sides of amazing jar. add everything else and anything else you want. the point is to make your fancy jar more than half-full. if you have mayo you can add it in teaspoon increments. not necessary.

SHAKE this mixture up violently. use contents on a salad or store for the exp date on the yogurt container.

More than two-thirds of Americans claim to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and about half attend a church somewhat regularly. But half of those church-goers say their lives have not changed one bit because of their church attendance. And most people today agree that the biggest difference between “Christians“ and non-Christians is that “Christians“ are busy on Sunday mornings.

If a Christian is, by definition, a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ (His disciple, or “apprentice”; Acts 11.26), then why are there so many “Christians“ who attend church but who do not act like Christians?

The answer is simple: They are not Christians; they’re just pretending.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. [1John 2.3-4]

Many professing Christians believe they are safely on their way to heaven because they have prayed a prayer, been baptized, joined a church, built friendships at church, learned the “church-talk,” or enjoyed church fellowship activities. However, Jesus Christ Himself said that many would be shocked and horrified on the Day of Judgment when they are told, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7.21-23). They said they followed the Lord, but they were just pretending!

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? [Luke 6.46]

Jesus said that “by their fruits ye shall know them” (Matthew 7.16-20). A true follower of Christ, a Christian, will have a life that bears visible evidence that Jesus is truly his Lord.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words… [John 14.23]

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. [Romans 6.22]

The Bible states clearly and repeatedly that salvation from sin and sin’s penalty (suffering the wrath of God in hell) is graciously given to those who have repented (turned from sin and self) and placed their complete faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ (turning to Christ, to trust and follow Him). That conversion from sin and self, to the Lord will bear genuine, lasting, and visible fruit:

Fruit of Repentance: Turning from sin (Mat 3.8; 2Tim 2.19)

Fruit of Knowledge: A desire to learn Scripture (2Tim 3.15-4.5)

Fruit of Good Works: Obedience to Scripture (John 14.15, 21, 23; Col 1.10)

Fruit of Holiness: Growing in Christ-likeness (Rom 6.22; Gal 5.22-24)

Fruit of Evangelism: An urgency to see others saved (Rom 10.13-17; 2Cor 5.15-20)

The good news of the Gospel is that, even though God is angry with the wicked every day because of their sins against Him (Psalm 7.11), He does not want any to perish and suffer His righteous and just wrath in Hell (2Peter 3.9). God wants all sinners to be saved, and to this end Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for all, and then rose from the dead defeating death and proving He is God. But Jesus said, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13.3). You must turn from sin and self! And you must turn to the Lord Jesus Christ in faith and trust, because there is no salvation outside of Him (Acts 4.12; 16.30-31)!

Nothing is more important than your eternal destiny. Please examine yourself to see if you are in the faith (2Corinthians 13.5), or if you, like so many others, are just pretending.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? [2Corinthians 13.5]

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. [Matthew 7.13-14]

Jesus had to shed His blood and die. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood” (Lev. 17:11). “ . . . without
