Made a decision to do what I love in my life…I feel born again!
For those who don’t know…I want to bake for a living….no more corporate life....working my way to making it a reality.
This is such a beautiful song. The photography goes nicely with the video. Take a few minutes…sit back...enjoy.

Born Again - Mac Powell & Lacey Mosley
Today I found myself
After searching all these years
And the man that I saw he wasn’t at all who I thought he’d be
I was lost when you found me here
And I was broken beyond repair
Then you came along and you sang your song over me
It feels like I’m born again
It feels like I’m living
For the very first time
For the very first time
In my life
Make a promise to me now
Reassure my heart somehow
That the love that I feel is so much more real than anything
I’ve a feeling in my soul
And I pray that I’m not wrong
That the life I have now it is only the beginning
It feels like I’m born again
It feels like I’m living
For the very first time
For the very first time
It feels like I’m breathing
It feels like I’m moving
For the very first time
For the very first time
I wasn’t looking for something that was more
Than what I had yesterday
Then you came to me and you gave to me
Life and a love that I’ve never known
That I’ve never felt before
It feels like I’m born again
It feels like I’m living
For the very first time
I’m living for the first time
It feels like I’m breathing
It feels like I’m moving
For the very first time
I’m living for the first time
In my life
Note: I’ll be posting a spiritual song and photo weekly for the duration of Lent up to Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010. I’ve sung and played guitar in church for many years. Spiritual music has always been a part of my life…A radio station which I listen to often which plays Christian music is STAR99.1FM. Spiritual music is like praying but with a melody...it keeps me connected to the love of my life…my GOD.
You can check out Star 99.1FM here.

Ephesians 6:12
King James Version
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
My Friend: I am asking you the most important question of life. Your joy or your sorrow for all eternity
depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if
you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?
God says in order to go to Heaven, you must be born again. In John 3:7, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Ye must be
born again.”
In the Bible God gives us the plan of how to be born again which means to be saved. His plan is simple! You
can be saved today. How?
First, my friend, you must realize you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”
(Romans 3:23).
Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. “For the wages [payment] of sin is death” (Romans
6:23). This includes eternal separation from God in Hell.
“ . . . it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
But God loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place.
“ . . . He hath made Him [Jesus, Who knew no sin] to be sin for us . . . that we might be made the righteousness
of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Jesus had to shed His blood and die. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood” (Lev. 17:11). “ . . . without
shedding of blood is no remission [pardon]” (Hebrews 9:22).
“ . . . God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
(Romans 5:8).
Although we cannot understand how, God said my sins and your sins were laid upon Jesus and He died in our
place. He became our substitute. It is true. God cannot lie.
My friend, “God . . . commandeth all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30). This repentance is a change of
mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner, and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the Cross.
In Acts 16:30-31, the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas: “ . . . ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they
said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved . . . .’ ”
Simply believe on Him as the one who bore your sin, died in your place, was buried, and whom God
resurrected. His resurrection powerfully assures that the believer can claim everlasting life when Jesus is
received as Savior.
“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe
on His name” (John 1:12).
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).
Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved means not maybe, nor can, but shall be saved.
Surely, you realize you are a sinner. Right now, wherever you are, repenting, lift your heart to God in prayer.
In Luke 18:13, the sinner prayed: “God be merciful to me a sinner.” Just pray: “Oh God, I know I am a sinner.
I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and
resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift
of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen.”
Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no
lodge, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. All of it!
God’s simple plan of salvation is: You are a sinner. Therefore, unless you believe on Jesus Who died in your
place, you will spend eternity in Hell. If you believe on Him as your crucified, buried, and risen Savior, you
receive forgiveness for all of your sins and His gift of eternal salvation by faith.
You say, “Surely, it cannot be that simple.” Yes, that simple! It is scriptural. It is God’s plan. My friend, believe
on Jesus and receive Him as Savior today.
If His plan is not perfectly clear, read this tract over and over, without laying it down, until you understand
it. Your soul is worth more than all the world.
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).
Be sure you are saved. If you lose your soul, you miss Heaven and lose all. Please! Let God save you this very
moment.
God’s power will save you, keep you saved, and enable you to live a victorious Christian life. “There hath no
temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted
above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1
Corinthians 10:13).
Do not trust your feelings. They change. Stand on God’s promises. They never change. After you are saved,
there are three things to practice daily for spiritual growth:
Pray -- you talk to God.
Read your Bible -- God talks to you.
Witness -- you talk for God.
You should be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as a public testimony of your salvation, and
then unite with a Bible-believing church without delay. “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of
our Lord . . . .” (2 Timothy 1:8)
“Whosoever therefore shall confess [testify of] Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which
is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32).
Remember that great day when Jesus saved you and made you new! Don't forget His mighty deeds and His great love for you (Ps78:4). You Christian have been Redeemed by Jesus' blood, Forgiven by His grace, Justified by His righteousness, and are being Sanctified through His Spirit & Word.
Today's Through the Bible Reading is all about REMEMBERING what God has done. Remember just how much Christ accomplished on the cross for you and REJOICE!
I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness and justice, in lovingkindness and mercy; I will betroth you to me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord. Hosea 2:19, 20

A pamphlet cover of St.Francis of Assisi Church NYC, for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) or Catechumenate is the process by which people can question, search, and inquire into the Catholic faith.
c. early 1960s. To quote the back of this card found in Winifred Sulley's papers "This is the rare sight of idols being burnt by born-again Christians. The family god shelf (butsudan) is put to the flame because Jesus Christ has put light in the heart." Horrible.
Jesus said “You MUST be born again”. (Joh 3,7) This is our need. But seven verses later He says “even so MUST the Son of Man be lifted up”, predicting His death on the cross. In short: Our need became His need to meet our need. Blessed be the name of the Lord. REINHARD BONNKE

Showing up to save us all at the Art Deco Weekend Art Festival were the “Born Again” folks. They are no stranger to South Beach on Saturdays but this was the first time I had seen them there on a Sunday. I have photographed them a couple times on Miami Beach and once in Miami to counter a rally against Judge Samuel Alito. This character seems to be the ringleader and is the most confrontational making statements like “all you homos and lesbians are going to hell” and going down a list of all the dead rock and rap stars that are now in hell like Elvis, Tupac Shakur, Maralyn Monroe, Biggie Smalls, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain just to name a few. Here Pastor “I’m gonna save your soul” declares Ocean Drive the “Highway to Hell”.
i have been waiting to do this photo for a whole year.
i never wanted to give myself an exact salvation date, but may 14th 2009 was the day i moved out of my grandma's house (err, ran away). i would say that i suppose i was truly born again that night because it was the point where there really was no turning back -- all my things were already moved into my best friend's house and i was in her car on the way there. i never moved back in with my grandma, never moved backwards, only forwards.
i was saved in 2006, but it really couldn't count for anything since i was still trapped, couldn't go to church, and was completely in bondage by the devil. but now, here i am, workin' for da Lord, becoming a leader at my church, and someday, God will do mighty things through me.
no turning back, i've made up my mind. i'm giving all of my life this time.
Your love makes it worth it all.
ps. i totally did not mean to copy my friend matt's portrait of me from his "zion" project! i just happen to live in a very small house with limited scenery, and i felt like the one candle could be a birthday candle. but i suppose this is a good opportunity to plug my fellow christian friend's website and his photography: www.mattschwerin.com/
Looks like my provocative photo garnered me 22,000 hits. Thanks to you I made another milestone! I only wish these hits weren't wasted on these idiots.

Arise, shine, for your light has broken through!
The Eternal One’s brilliance has dawned upon you.
2 See truly; look carefully—darkness blankets the earth;
people all over are cloaked in darkness.
But God will rise and shine on you;
the Eternal’s bright glory will shine on you, a light for all to see.
3 Nations north and south, peoples east and west, will be drawn to your light,
will find purpose and direction by your light.
In the radiance of your rising, you will enlighten the leaders of nations.

On heaven
The symbols under which Heaven is presented to us are (a) a dinner party, (b) a wedding, (c) a city, and (d) a concert. It would be grotesque to suppose that the guests or citizens or members of the choir didn’t know one another. And how can love of one another be commanded in this life if it is to be cut short at death?
Think of yourself just as a seed patiently waiting in the earth: waiting to come up a flower in the Gardener’s good time, up into the real world, the real waking. I suppose that our whole present life, looked back on from there, will seem only a drowsy half- waking. We are here in the land of dreams. But cock-crow is coming.
From The Collected Letters of C.S. Lewis, Volume III
Compiled in Words to Live By
Rushing under the rain as soon as it happens is another way to feel like I'm coming to life again, like Mother Nature gives me her own sacraments, so that I can be part of the world. I am not religious, neither am I baptisted, I am another molecule in the universe, whose purpose is unknown. Today I felt at one with nature.
It feels damn good, man.
By (James) Jacques-Joseph Tissot, French, 1836-1902. Lithograph after a painting now in the Brooklyn Museum, New York.
The prints are from “La Vie de Notre Seigneur Jésus Christ: trois cent soixante-cinq compositions, tirées des Quatre Evangiles avec des notes et des dessins explicatifs par J. James Tissot” 4 vols. Illustrations by James Tissot. Publisher: Tours: Alfred Mame et Fils, 1896-97. Folio. 279 pages (text) with 36 plates and an additional suite of 333 in-text plates. 5 sections (The Holy Childhood, The Ministry, Holy Week, The Passion, The Resurrection) containing 365 compositions from the four gospels. The numerous in-text illustrations are in full color, sepia, and monochrome. The text volumes are printed on grand velin paper with 36 tissue-guarded full-page hors-text plates in duplicate (color and green or sepia-tone lithographs). Paper size 15 3/4 x 12 3/4 inches; image size varies (ca 9 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches).
In America the publisher was Doubleday & McClure Co. who produced 100 “Grand Luxe” copies and 600 “Autograph Edition” copies containing extra features and marketed in conjunction with exhibitions of Tissot’s Bible illustrations in America. “The Life of Or Saviour Jesus Christ. Three Hundred and Sixty-Five Compositions From the Four Gospels with Notes and Explanatory Drawings by J James Tissot.” Notes Translated by Mrs. Arthur Bell. New York: The McClure-Tissot Company, 1899.
The work was printed in France by Lemercier, who employed some 100 workmen to prepare 4000 plates for various colours and processes - lithograph, photogravure, typographer, wood engraving etc. Tissot himself supervised the preparation of the plates and later the printing of the volumes; they may therefore be said to embody the artist's intention in the medium of chromolithography as well as paint.

Daredevil: Born Again (1987). Graphic novel by Frank Miller. Art by David Mazzucchelli
"Born Again" is a 1986 comic book story arc that appeared in the Marvel Comics series Daredevil. Written by Frank Miller, and drawn by David Mazzucchelli, the storyline first appeared in Daredevil #227-#233 (1986)
An original comic novel featuring the work of a great artists when he was just starting out. David Mazzuchelli is so celebrated for his seminal work in this volume that a recent "artist's edition has been published to canonize him even further.
.
The story details Daredevil's descent into insanity and destitution at the hands of the Kingpin, as well as his subsequent struggle to build a new life for himself.
Very simply, the story follows Matt Murdoch/Daredevil as his life is dismantled by his nemesis, The Kingpin. He loses faith in himself and the world, then regains it. Miller conceived the story and then he and Mazzucchelli collaborated very closely, as described by the artist in his unexpectedly candid and moving introduction:
This is why we chose not to separate the credits into writer and artist; because although technically I did no scripting and Frank did no drawing, I was contributing ideas for plot, characterization, and storytelling (such as the succession of title pages charting Matt’s descent), while Frank was describing the contents of each panel in his scripts.

Since I started taking pictures again in the fall of '10, I've wanted to do more and more macrophotography. Given the limited equipment I have — and believe me, for each picture I post there are a hundred I toss out — and the insane amount of plants and flowers that my parents keep around, I don't even need to get away from home. One of the key advantages is that I retain easy access to all of my equipment, and it's a comfortable location that I know well.
However, insects ("my models", as I jokingly refer to them) have been taking their sweet time this year. Aside from a couple of spiders, a fly and a couple of bees, I haven't seen any. It is still early, though, and the double snowfall has caused quite a few problems. The bush of daisies that butterflies loved to banquet on is gone, a 25-year-old ficus that exceeded the length of our balcony is on the edge of dying, and our oleander seems quite battered.
Roses, however, are slowly coming back to life, and so are many other flowers around the house.
Spring, after all, mustn't be too far away.
