Beautiful blue hydrangea taken at the George Tindale Memorial Gardens in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria.
2 weeks ago tomorrow, one of 'the gang' lost her frighteningly short and intense battle with that cruel disease 'Cancer'... tomorrow we have to say goodbye. these are the flowers the rest of us have gotten her - I didn't get a card, so decided tonight to paint one for her - my final gift - I think she would have approved and I hope she likes it. :-(

Lighted Wine Bottle Hydrangea Pale Blue Hand Painted. This is a pale blue, frosted lighted wine bottle with delicate blue hydrangeas. The white light strand inside gives this frosted bottle a beautiful warm glow. This one would be perfect for your bathroom or powder room or would also make a great accent light for your kitchen, bar area, tabletop, sun room or porch. Made from a 750 ml recycled wine bottle.
10 1/4" high and 3 1/4" at the base.
One of the best ways to begin a Summer morning is to bury your nose in these cool, soft, perfect blue/purple hydrangea blossoms and breathe deeply. Happy Wednesday! :)
I was impressed how well and tall the Hydrangea grow in the gardens around the Village of Volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii.Though not native to Hawai’i, these colorful plants with 8 inch wide "pom-pom" blooms have earned the Hawaiian name “pōpōhau", which means snow-ball. The Hydrangea on the Big Island are mostly of Hydrangea macrophylla. This very popular variety came to Hawai'i from China and can be a wide range of colors, This plant was growing in the yard of the house where we stayed,
Tidied the outer plot and added new plants, namely Exacum affine (Persian Violet), Dwarf Tabernaemontana divaricata (Pinwheel Flower), and Ruellia simplex (Britton's Wild Petunia, Mexican Bluebell) with purple flowers.
This unusual Hydrangea was given to me in a pot as a gift. It's petals are variegated, and very pretty colours.
I have been away for a few days, so it will take me a little while to catch up with everyone's uploads. Happy Spring to all.
Cobalt Blue Pitcher Hydrangea Hand Painted. Very pretty hand blown blue pitcher with hand painted blue hydrangea. The glass has a swirl pattern on the inside. It measures a little over 7" high and is about 5" in diameter at the widest point. The capacity is 6 cups when filled to the brim, which is plenty for serving your beverages. It would also be beautiful filled with hydrangeas from your garden.

I don't think there is any magnification to the image with extension tubes. But it does allow for a really close 'lens-to-subject' working distance and a super-shallow dof. The focusing ring was, at most, an inch away from the petals.
