Gonna be a bit off the grid for the next few days, working on a film shoot.
I DO live in LA, you know. It's basically a law that anyone living in LA has to spend a little time working for the film industry.
And so I'm out in the streets, 14 hour days, not hard, necessarily, but long. And no naps. I've grown rather used to naps, so this is a major adjustment. They say taking a nap during the day drops your risk of heart attack by a third.
Maybe I should ask for hazard pay.

Sorry, I'm pretty much always MIA now. But don't think I've stopped taking pictures; I actually shoot all the time and just don't upload. This is a habit I'm trying to break.
I've graduated from high school and am actually on a road trip with my family at the moment. We're driving all through the South, driving across Texas, through Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina, and later on we'll be in North Carolina. It's really amazing to see so much of the country at once and to see all the different kinds of landscaping and people that cover the various states.
This is a beach that is located in a state park in South Carolina. It was the most hauntingly beautiful beach I've ever seen. I spent the whole 3+ hours taking pictures and then looking for shells and sharks teeth.
I found seven.
I cropped the main quite a bit so you could see more of the detail, but view here anyway.

According to Wikipedia - "The Rottweil Test Tower is an elevator test tower in Rottweil, Germany. It is owned by ThyssenKrupp. It is 246 metres tall, and was completed in 2017. It is the tallest elevator test tower in the world."
Personally, I don't think it looks completed (the crane give it away?) but it definitely looks like a drill bit for a drill.

Why is so much easier to play around with a happy-snappy iPhone shot than one taken with the Nikon?
This one had the Glow version (also upload) blended into the other version that looks rather like this one.
I was trying to give it a bit of "glow" without it turning into red and blue squiggly lines.

A bit unseasonal, but thought I'd add a bit of yellow to the top of my photostream. This was taken back in March and illustrates the various phases of daffodil cultivation that were on display at Tregantle in Cornwall.
Inspired by some nice pictures of HSTs on the Royal Albert Bridge posted recently by Clive Smith and with Mavis wanting to visit the Sue Ryder superstore a visit to Saltash was on the cards. With consecutively numbered power cars 43092 and 43093 2P15 1250 Penzance-Plymouth heads onto the bridge, the short set fitting neatly on the approach spans. These PCs were originally paired on set 254019.
Messing about with off camera flash and photoshop...i saw something simlar to this in a local restaurant and thought i would give it a go!

... a bit late but still. I've had all kinds of trouble with my account for more than a year now but finally managed to take action. Thanks to a most helpful Ben at Flickr support I might be on track again, looking forward to return on a more regular basis from now on.
The Gangnam area in Seoul is famous for its modern touch, but it also hosts one of the holiest temple in Korea.
The temple is called Bongeunsa and occupies a large area in one of the world's most valuable real estate area.
Bit of a busy background, but first time observing this particular bee mimicking fly! Apparently, it's typical for them to sun themselves in the springtime on piles of leftover fallen leaves, which is exactly what this one was doing. Interesting to see the pattern of the white hairs.
