Out for a windy, snowy, hailed on and sunshiny ride this afternoon! (Sunday) 42 miles around the edge of Sheffield and into the Peak District. Lovely stuff!!
Bit of calm here sheltered from most of the wind with a nice bit of sunshine too.. That's Stanage and Millstone Edges on the horizon..

I am way behind with comments...sorry...we have had sunshine, warmth and blue skies for a few days so had to make the most of them while they lasted :-) They seem to have gone now so I will try to catch up ASAP :-)
Yes it was a bit dirty out Cunnamulla way, but nice to see new country out in the Wild West.
On the dirt flats at Bowra. This has been captured in Queensland's wild west, near Cunnamulla. I did a trip out west in seeking the elusive Major Mitchell birds.
In this area the vegetation is sparse and the land is arid and not very productive.
Cunnamulla is around 787Km west from Queensland's capital Brisbane.

We had a visit here to walk and then swim at Wadi Shab in Oman. Amazing and beautiful place..
Almost a two hour drive from Muscat, then a boat ride before setting off up the amazing Wadi following the water until we came to the area where we changed and then paddled and then swam to a cave!
Bit of a surprise sunny late morning so out for a couple of hours on Himmy.. 43 miles around my local Peak District!!
Bit of a shock to the system last Sunday with the clocks going back. It was lovely of course to have the extra hour in bed, but a glorious sunny afternoon suddenly turns to dusk and at a quarter to five the station lights (well half of them) are turned on.
A Victoria to East Grinstead working makes the stop at Sanderstead station.

Bit naughty but for the second day in a row Mrs P and I have been out for afternoon tea and a scone.
Bit of a change up with a round in Welly Central. Been raining all week, but a nice day for the race.
Had a bug going around all week, so I didn't feel up to riding, but went and got some snaps and a coffee. Shame as it looked a really fun loop!
Everyone's aiming for a rut right by this pole to avoid the worst of this bog.

A bit of a conundrum for Woolfie, this one!! Jones International of Llandeilo (or Jones the Bus on facebook!) hit Cheltenham yesterday, with this old girl. MJI 1940 is a Leyland Tiger with a Van Hool Alizee body. Looking at various postings she has done a bit of to-ing and fro-ing in her life.
Starting life in 1986 as C342 DND with Shearings, she passed through various hands, including Eagle in Bristol before going to Jones at Llandeilo. Then, in 2007 Goode Coaches of Northampton acquired her from Jones. Fast forward to 2013, and yesterday, and here she is again, operating for none other than Jones International at Llandeilo, still in the original Jones yellow but with Goode's maroon and showing evidence of Goode's ownership having had the the lettering removed from the rear.
What's the story Paul? Couldn't Jones bear to part with her and wanted first refusal when Goodes finished with her?
A Bit of A Do 2023 at Pebmarsh produced the usual eclectic mix of bygones, vehicles, machinery and good cheer despite indifferent weekend weather.

It was the cost of a shave and a haircut in a barber shop during the mid-1800s - Two bits. Two bits equals a quarter.
A bit of retro tech for you here from 1987. I found a boxed Interface card for the IBM PC, used with 'LEGO TC Logo', a technic control program using the Logo programming language, and LEGO's actual first foray into programming. Slap this baby in the expansion slot of your IBM PC (another variant was made for the Apple II) and load the software, and you could create primitive commands for your technic motors connected to a control deck.
