We were a bit disappointed that the swimming pool of an abandoned hospital didn't have any water left, but we didn't let that stop us going for a swim. It was a warm day and we needed to cool down.
Another very enjoyable day out, and got some good pics.

Bit clunky, but so is the source material so I'll let it slide. I think my use of card doors as windows was a bit of a stroke of genius.
I've been playing this game a lot this weekend (It's so freaking hard without relics) and wanted to make the man himself) :)
If anyone's interested I play it on the 3DS but plan to play it on the Switch when I finally have enough money for it (so close :D)

I began this bit of textile art in late January, based on a photo I took earlier that month...I must decide now if it is finished to the stage of mounting the piece on a stitched background frame.... .
I start with a drawing on the back of the plain white fabric....adding other pieces of fabric, stitching from the back...then trimming closely on the front...then lots of "drawing" with my machine, freehand... to add trees and other details..As I get near the end of the image, I must then do a LOT of background stitching ( eg...the sky...) to control the distortion that results from so much stitching. Then, a binding, if that's what I want....
And that's about all there is to it !!!
Bit of a weird one this... having my yearly "do something different" complex, some bits make sense, others dont... was one of those days!
I still can't believe how small this little one was in March, just a few days out of mom, Ellaroo's pouch. Definitely the tiniest koala joey I've ever seen - so new & fresh out of the oven! And now, still small, and as cute as can be, two months older and so much fluffier and filled out.
The first view is at about 6 months old, since that's when a joey first emerges from the pouch. They have a lot of developing to do during that time since they're only the size of a raisin at birth. That would make this joey about 8 months old now, in the second photo.
There are so many adorable babies to ooh and awe over at the Zoo this Spring! My heart is smiling!

A bit of a surprise on this one. It was just on the edge of Fishtrap Creek Park before you get on the Discovery Trail to Maclure Park.
Bit of a personal one for me with the flower representing love and the ring in the shadow inicating that things are not too good, but with music things can get better.

I have decided to take a short break from Flickr and put my energies elsewhere for a bit and figure out what my priorities are right now. I don't plan on being gone long, but will pop in on occasion to see how things are going.

This is a 1 1/2” carbon steel crimped wire drill bit. The strong & sharp wires go all around the bit. I got it to rough up some clear acrylic, but it’s mostly used to remove rust. Wound up using a metal flat-head (slotted) screwdriver to push out some of the spikes for more interest. Don’t use your fingers, as I tried at 1st. Ow. lol.. Happy Macro Monday!
Bit of a tweaked variant of my standard design, i'm trying to come up with a backstory for this version and how Arthur acquires it. I've narrowed it down to a few options.
A: It's a heavily modified and more advanced version of The Empress.
B: It's the main mode of transport for an alternate universe version of Arthur, that somehow ended up in the main universe
C: It's Chitty, and follows from a previous idea I had of Arthur acquiring Chitty.
D: it's a replacement for The Empress, that Arthur built from blueprints for the Paragon Panther

Something a bit different today. I’m not normally one for editing too much but the lighting of the original version was awful, however I really liked the wing position and felt it would make a nice vertical crop with a high key style edit. I’m actually pleased with the result. Taken at Abberton Reservoir. Normal service will resume…

The North America captured in a small town during some moonless nights (RGB channels) and some moonfull nights (only hydrogen alpha channel then)
I reworked this one, as the last version was a bit to pale (HA was stretched to bright before combining it with the colour image) plus i did a little bit of sharpening in the bright red gas "clouds"

Today was a bit foggy or at least there was some sort of haze surrounding the city which let me take this snap. The people perfectly focused while St. Paul's cathedral is more out of focus. The lenses are helping but the day also.

Even though there was plenty of heather and colour in the shot I prefer this version.

while on holiday a few shots have been taken and if shots were not lucky enough to get a lucrative position of "photo a day" they found themselves in the BBB (bits and bobs box). I am not sure what happened , did I disturbed the box or bits and bobs got a bit rowdy inside (maybe some quarrel occurred arguing who is bit and who is bob and the whole thing gone violent) but the thing , the box, erupted, it went boom! blown to pieces and bits and bobs were flying everywhere, when dust settled I said to them "hey bits! and you bobs! off you go to flickr! I got enough bother with "photo a day" business and go they did ...
if you follow me you probably are going to unfollow , and I can't blame you, as tens of bits and bobs are unleashed , they are coming ... and coming ... and coming ....
