After finishing the cross-stitch that you see here, I thought maybe I should have included my contact info, but then decided I didn't really care to go back and pick out stitches. I edged it with scraps leftover from the binding.

I felt like have a really good bento box, so I went to Sunrise Mart in Midtown Manhattan. I was going to go to my favorite branch in the East Village, but this was much closer.
The salmon was excellent. Almost hidden is a marinated shitake mushroom, or half of one, that was delicious. This is my favorite kind of lunch even though there's a bit too much food here. It makes one a bit groggy after dining.

This is the first Bento Box top I made (during 2011). VArious fabrics, not sure of the source. I love how the white sets off the colours. The photo does not do it justice as the colours are much more vivid.
my girls have really been into winnie the pooh here lately so, i decided to do a piglet bento, he's always been my favorite :)

Hey, look who finally remembered to photograph MoMoBeBo! I hand pieced and hand quilted this bento-box-esque pattern using two MoMo fabric lines ("It's a Hoot" and "Wonderland"). I wanted the quilting to emphasize the boxes instead of the secondary cross pattern; it's a little goofy but... ::shrugs:: I used wool batting made for hand quilting, which combined with the loose quilting pattern, has made a blanket that feels more like a comforter than a quilt.
