I took a trusty white wire hanger (duct tape, WD40, and wire coat hangers make the world go 'round.), poked a hole in the grommet with my awl, then fed the 24" hanger through the hole. Not knowing where it would emerge in the engine bay was half the fun. Just push slowly, step around to look down into the bay, and you'll see your hanger. I wrapped some tape around the end so that as I applied my enthusiastic pull from the engine bay side, i wouldn't yank out the WHOLE hanger....and have to start all over again.

The yellow cable is the power connection for my independently-powered Kenwood under-seat compact (300-watt) subwoofer. It has since bee re-routed for a short run from back panel to an under-seat power tap.

... Droplets

This is posted, not for any photographic ability, because that is seriously lacking, but as a documentation to the beginnings of my sewing.

I have the toga behind me that is pictured earlier and now I will begin dresses and gowns.

This is the basic dress. There is still much left to do. But I like having projects to keep me busy and this is quite a fun one. I'll keep you posted as I go :)

a first look at A + W's new home

8.27.11

the start of a new project....each stage of knitting really is beautiful.

Longest sunset of my life - almost 8 hours.

Possibly somewhere over China or Mongolia.

It time to challenge my limits..

It time to venture into the unknown..

Its time to scale new heights

Its time to trek...It time to ascend 4000 ft.!

I woke up seeing surrounding darkness outside the bus. We were supposed to be reaching Hoi An that morning. Everyone else was still well in their sleep. I decided to stay awake and observed the daybreak gently opening in the far distance through my window. I took my camera out and waited for this moment to arrive.

Mineral spring..Armenia 2007

The garden is quietly and slowly starting to wake up.

Spring can't come quick enough for me though.

We weren't on top more than 15 minutes before a ranger ordered us to descend. Bleh!

Alto Saxophone

Titled 'Beginnings' because this is my son's first sax... The one he played in 5th grade, and still has.

His profession... Band director. The old Martin came through for him I guess.

This is the first page in this, my new journal. I started this last week, when Kira and I were hanging out in a little ice cream shop....I finally finished it today....
