Beginning Fall: I dug out one og my older cameras - just because I didn't want to carry a lot. So I came across that 60mm APSC lens, that I don't use a lot. Today that seemed to be a good choice, I got some nice shots although it was a walk with my partner, and she does not like to wait an hour until I have finished my composition ... ;-) I'm sure many photographers know that.
When a tree is cut off it sometimes starts to grow again. A new beginning also for the ECI factory it is situated in, which has received millions of funding for restauration from the EU.

Wrecking and more photos coming soon. Its a journey. Keri Smith has some other very interesting books. This should be somewhat therapeutic for my obsession with keeping books in pristine condition. This is the beginning.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (June 27, 2024) U.S. Naval Academy Superintendent Vice Adm. Yvette Davids welcomes the midshipman candidates, or plebes, of the class of 2028 and talks with parents during Induction Day 2024. I-Day marks the beginning of a demanding six-week indoctrination period called Plebe Summer that is intended to transition the candidates from civilian to military life. As the undergraduate college of our country’s naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Winter is just beginning at Bessemer, Michigan. The hills of the Gogebic Range line the town to the north and south. I'm heading west on US 2.
Chloe and Corbie wrestle early in their lives. This is certainly not the last time they will face each other in combat.

ahhh yes, i can smell school in the air (i am one of those moms that can not wait :) )..first soccer practice tonight...
Again, because I don't have a design wall I'm tweaking my layout through the camera's lens.
This will be the center medallion of my version of Kim McLeans breathtaking quilt. www.gloriouscolor.com/userfiles/image/McLean/basket medallion 5.jpg
I'm doing it from the kit that contains most of the same Kaffe Fassett fabrics. Hopelessly lame to be using a kit but how else would I ever own anything as beautiful as hers?!
Doesn't it look ridiculous with that enormous dayglo basket with those pathetic spindly stems?
In this pic I haven't yet finished the left half of the stems. ...partly because I'm still working on that branch that's pinned down. That branch has been the bane of my existence. So far this is the third time I've stitched it down after making awful mistakes and ripping it up twice. It still has quite a stiff and angular curl but I guess it wants to be eccentric and I'm hoping the foliage and berries will overwhelm it and make that less apparent.
