The potato was a tad overcooked. The beef was folk tender and good with poached egg yolk. The sauce brought heaven in my mouth. I made sure I didn't leave even a drop.

We aren't big beef eaters but I did get some organic stew beef and added a little to this vegetable stew. You can't find much beef in it, but it's loaded with tasty vegetables. It's so red because I put our beets from the garden in it too.

Beeflies don't keep still unless they are drinking and although I got a couple of shots with the TZ3, this one with the TZ25 is suoerior because of the better shutter speed.

I hate sushi and raw fish bur this beef option nicely wrapped with vegetables is lovely with a cucumber and soy sauce dip.

Ingredients:
1 small sweet potato - peeld and diced
1 small onion chopped finely
3 cloves garlic chopped finely
10 sprouts - prepared & quartered
1 red pepper - sliced coarsely
6 decent sized chestnut mushrooms - sliced finely
1 tin of corned beef sliced into cubes
salt and pepper sprinkled liberally
2 teaspoons of Italian herb seasoning sprinkled over
1 bottle of Guiness (or a dark Porter)
Method
Put the ingredients in a slow cooker, with the corned beef mostly on top. dd salt and pepper and Italian herbs last. Pour over the Guinness or Porter.
Cook on a medium heat for 5 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally towards the end. Serve with some green beans and broccoli for a hearty mid-winter meal.
Welsh Black bulls are big, but generally placid, but this guy had just been through a pen to have his ear tags checked, and so was not best pleased with life. It would not have been advisable to have been in his way as he went back to his field.
