Cascading down from Cassel Lake, these falls drop 30m (98.4 ft) straight into the ocean at high tide.

Located on West Redonda Island, which is one of the Discovery Islands that lies between central Vancouver Island and the B.C. mainland in Desolation Sound.

This park is accessed via boat only, the 128 ha (316 acre) Teakerne Arm Provincial Park includes a portion of Cassel Lake which is 91 ha (225 acres) in size with 7.4 km (4.6mi) of shoreline.

There was a forest fire next to the falls on the right side in August 2016 and it has just started to get some growth back.

I will be heading to Hong Kong and Taiwan by the end of October. I have a very mixed feeling for this trip. On one hand, I really look forward to my brother, my parents, and friends. On the other hand, the protest in Hong Kong isn't getting any better.

Whenever I read the news, there isn't any happy one regarding to Hong Kong current situation. It is all about people in Hong Kong getting arrested and/or injured. I just hope that there is a turning point soon as it seems that there is no end to it at the moment :(

Just exploring my new neighbourhood. There was a nice moonrise over the hills last night, and I happened to be out with my camera.

An Intermediate-class ferry, the Queen of Capilano operates on the busy commuter and tourist route between Horseshoe Bay (West Vancouver) and Snug Cove (Bowen Island). Despite being built 16 years ago (in 1991), she is still one of the youngest ferries in the fleet.

And despite being a relatively new ferry, the Queen of Capilano is surprisingly prone to mechanical problems; partly due to her problematic unique Right Angle Drive (RAD) propulsion. The Queen of Cumberland which operates from Victoria to the Southern Gulf Islands, is the only sister ship to the Capilano in the fleet. Interestingly, the design of the new Intermediate Class ferry currently (2007) being built in North Vancouver is largely based on that of the Queen of Capilano.

Pitt Meadows, BC Canada

The Thompson Mountain Range rises along the Pitt Meadows's northeast edge. Pitt Meadows is protected from flooding by 64 kilometres of dikes which provide a multi-use trail system alongside the farmland and marshes, and offer views of the mountains to the North.

Surrounded by sweeping views of the Berrylands in Pitt Polder with some of the most scenic backdrops BC has to offer.

Nestled in the Thompson Mountains, the spectacular views draw crowds from far and wide. This hidden gem in Pitt Meadows welcomes everyone to come and view it!

Named for a clerk on the Royal Navy’s vessel “Herald” which surveyed Sooke Harbour in 1846, the spit protects the harbour from the breakers coming in the Juan De Fuca Strait from the Pacific Ocean. Tall ships sailed through the far channel to carry lumber from the Muir Mill to distant ports during the latter half of the 19th century.

Going through some photos from earlier this year while working on a project and came across a few that I felt worthy of sharing.

Too cold to be outside right now ;)

First fall colours spotted along the Stanley Park seawall in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

About this photo: Fall has officially begun, but we are still enjoying some summer like weather here in Vancouver, BC, Canada. It has been quite a sunny and warm September and it has been fairly warm and sunny for October so far as well with temperatures around 20-25C/68-77F. But I am sure the wet fall weather will be upon us soon enough. I enjoyed a walk in Stanley Park at the end of September and was happy to see some fall colours already! I can't wait for fall to be in full swing.

I took this photo along the Stanley Park seawall with a view of downtown in Vancouver, BC, Canada. 🍁🍂🍁🍂

Some information about Vancouver: Vancouver is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Vancouver is Canada's third largest city and is located by the Pacific Ocean on a peninsula surrounded by water and in the distance there are the mountains. Vancouver is considered a pretty clean and safe city with a great variety of shops, museums, theatre, outdoor activities (hiking, walking, kayaking, sailing, skiing on the local mountains in the winter) and more. Walking around Stanley Park is a favourite thing to do for tourist and locals alike. This beautiful park extends from the city centre of Vancouver almost to the North Shore. With wonderful views of the mountains and the ocean around every corner, downtown Vancouver is one of the most picturesque cities in the world. Walk along Robson Street, the most popular shopping street. Experience Chinatown with the different kinds of building and stores, walk on the beaches of English Bay and the seawall of Stanley Park, enjoy a walk in Gastown with the old steam clock and the many gift shops.

Look out for some Hollywood film sets as Vancouver is used for many big Hollywood movies and shows. That's why you might hear that Vancouver is called "Hollywood North". Here are some examples of shows and movies that were/are filmed here: "Deadpool 1 & 2", "The X-Files", "The Good Doctor", "Colony", "Arrow", "The Flash", "Supernatural", "Stargate-SG1", "The 6th Day", "Kiss of the Dragon", "Small Ville" and many many more. Then there is also the Canada Place, the stadiums, the Harbour Lookout, the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, Science World, the Vancouver Art Gallery and much more! All of these attractions are located within minutes from the city centre.

Vancouver is also popular in the winter for winter activities. There are 3 local mountains where you can do any type of winter sport. There is Grouse Mountain, most famous for it's stunning views over the city and fresh powder snow. Grouse Mountain is accessible by skyride...this is a big gondola that will take you up to the top of the mountain. Mount Seymour and Cypress Mountain are famous too and you also get wonderful views from the top of these mountains. As you can see...Vancouver has lots to offer. The Winter Olympics were held here in 2010 as well.

Another touch of spring - today I had some wet snow, wind, sun and rain while in Shawnigan Lake - every corner gave us something different.

Was testing my Samyang 135mm f/2 for a panorama. I'm happy, I had a good time shooting tonight. It was very pretty out there, and a friend came to hang out with me as I was waiting for the city lights to turn on.

I uploaded a 2160p version. Feel free to download it to see more details! Full version is 92 megapixels.

This beautiful 35 m (115 ft) high and 9 m (30 ft) wide waterfall is found on Grouse Creek within the park.

It is the only waterfall in the park that one can walk behind and then into a large cave created from the spray of the waterfall.

(A very refreshing walk on a hot day with the mist and the water droplets falling on you behind the falls - person in photo for size comparison)

The creek that feeds this fall is also notable, having more name changes than anywhere else in the park. Surveyor Robert Lee originally named the stream Beaver Creek, but residents in the area renamed it Grouse Creek after the birds inhabiting the area.

Around the 1930s, the name was changed to honour George Moul (one of the earliest settlers in this area who homesteaded east of the falls), but locals reverted back to Grouse Creek around the 1980s, despite the official name. Eventually, the local Geographical Names Office investigated and ruled in favour of Grouse Creek as the name, but left the waterfall’s name alone.

This hidden beauty is tucked in behind trees and bush just off of Sombrio Beach along the West Coast Road near Port Renfrew, BC.

Over the years this "canyon" has been created with the water eroding the sandstone away.

Because it is fairly shaded, the moss and algae grows freely and heavily creating this green oasis.

I never tire going into this area as it is never the same = always changing - thats the way nature works :)
