Happy New Year Everyone!

Thank you so much for 2012! Your sweet comments and support mean the world to me! Let's make 2013 even better together! :-)

I made these numbers after seeing them on the BasicGrey blog. They included the templates so we could make our own. BasicGrey had used patterned paper for theirs, but I printed them out on white card stock, stamped the front and back panels and put some lovely washi tape from my shop around the edges.

This was quite a fiddly project to do, but I really like how it turned out! It was so much fun to have them with to the New Year's party we had with friends yesterday! :-)

In my shop WashiTapesNL, I start off celebrating the new year with a discount code for you! Use the code Happy2013 to get 15% off your entire order! The code is valid until January 6th.

Have a wonderful first day of 2013!

Love,

Tone

Create 10 Project 7 - Dylans Handprint and Drawing.

The prompt for this layout was to include a handprint, I chose to use Dylan's rather than my own. I also asked him to draw me a picture that morning, to include on the page. The die cut flowers also include some of his handy work!

Papers used;Sassafras, Anthem.

Cosmo Cricket, The Boyfriend. Basic Grey, Lime Rickey.

Alphas; Sassafras, American Crafts Thickers and others.

Embellishments; Sassafras stickers and paper whimsies. Die cut flowers.

This is my first quilt! It's a stacked coin quilt for my new niece who will be born on May 21st (hopefully!). I am using Moda, Sultry by Basic Grey for the coins, the sashing is baby pink (hard to see the true color in the picture), I am working on the binding now. I did the cross-hatching on my sewing machine.

A friend asked if I could make a sympathy card for her. It had to be girly with pinks & flowers. This card was inspired by Kelly, I got the inspiration from a few of her cards:

This card is made with the Konnichiwa paper by Basic Grey. I am in LOVE with it! When I made my last card with it, I thought of these sweet children. They would be great with this paper I thought. And it turned out so fun! I found some Chinese characters on internet. Do anyone know what these characters say? If there are some bad words....please let me know!

Not sure why everything looks crooked...I think I scanned funny. Everything is straight in real life...I swear. :)

There are gems that don't show up very well, I've added them as notes. They are light green and match the patterned paper.

Journaling reads:

"Over the summer on my way home from work I avoided hitting another car swerving into my lane on the highway. I hit the wall and flew across four lanes of traffic. I got this rental car & all my friends called it the "minivan." I was not amused. 2-21-11"

[It's kind of a funny story. I think minivans are the worst thing ever and I vow to never own one, but I'm also in my 20's so they're really not the epitome of cool. Every one of my friends called this my awesome minivan for the month that I had it...mainly because of the sliding doors in the back. I hadn't documented it until now.]

Supplies Used:

Cardstock: Bazzill

Patterned Paper: Basic Grey [green], KI Memories [greys]

Stickers: American Crafts

Gems: Mark Richards

Ink: Ink It Up!

Pen: Signo, Staedtler
