Here is another shot from my time in the country this morning~I couldn't wait to get home and adorn it with textures...
Many thanks to Shadowhouse for the textures!
Drifting and blowing snow across the road made for dangerous driving conditions off and on today!

Another amazing looking sunset out my office window tonight, but I was busy enough with work that I wasn't going to make it past the little park on my street. But sometimes you don't need to go any further...
This shot was taken 24 minutes after sunset.
For Fence Friday.
A small pano captured in late Jan. with iPhone. Was bitter cold and windy. There were Geese and ducks in the creek and more coming in. We had a bit of a storm in the following days.
Woodland walk llanberis
Llanberis is a village, community and electoral ward in Gwynedd, northwest Wales, on the southern bank of the lake Llyn Padarn and at the foot of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales.
WPA project built 1936.
I wasn't sure if this was a WPA building because it doesn't look like one typically found in the Midwest. Every other WPA building I've come across has a bronze plaque on the outside wall to the right of the main entrance. This one has the plaque just inside the door on the wall of the foyer.

This old church was built in 1899.It is abandoned and part of a Farmers field now in Hensal,Ontario Canada.
Streefkerk is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Molenlanden, and lies on the southside of the river Lek, about 20 kilometres east of Rotterdam.
In 2004, the town of Streefkerk had 2600 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.37 km², and contained 628 residences. The statistical area "Streefkerk", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 2,600.
Streefkerk was a separate municipality until 1986, when it became part of Liesveld. The latter has been part of Molenwaard since 2013.
Late in autumn on a semi clouded day, the sun goes in and out of clouds that creates many shapes reflected in the calm water...
The morning sunlight is a welcome relief to this old shack in Humbug. The miner who lived here would have been living the high life, much more comfortable than those who slept in tents or under the stars. There are many of these old shacks scattered around the town. Some are quite obvious and some are hidden away in thick groves of trees and brush. Some look to be still occupied but I don't know by whom, unless it's the spiders, the mice, and the wood rats. They do provide a nice glimpse into the past and give the mind something to think about. Living in the present is all well and good, but we should never forget our roots.

Having grown up in south Florida, you know, really not knowing what winter was, I truly appreciate experiencing it. Stepping way out of my comfort zone on this one. The starkness of winter, frigid temperatures and atmospheric fog and all, I found this image intriguing, so I snapped away a few. It pretty much sums up the harsh reality of winter within Yellowstone. I love the isolation of being out there at these moments ... as long as I have a warm snow coach waiting for me. LOL

This is kind of a perfect picture to illustrate early winter in Kamloops. Perfect with respect to the elements that is, not trying to blow my own horn about my photography skills. The elements showing Kamloops are a light skiff of snow, golden brown grasses, train tracks, a bit of sagebrush down by the tracks, bridges, the Thompson River and Mount Paul & Peter.
