Not a terribly interesting image, just pale blue sky and fields. Still, I was so pleased to have a nice day for biking and there weren't many people about which is always a good thing. Maybe I'll go back there when flowers are out and leaves on the trees. Taken two days ago.

Ceunant mawr waterfall

We stood there in the icy air, looking at the eagles as the day started waning, pretending to be alive, hiding our unhappiness, though it was already the winter of our seasons...

at Hominy Creek River Park. Asheville, North Carolina.

This moody scene was created by a combination of the very low light of twilight, rain, and mist. It was wicked cold! My camera kept its shutter open for 10 seconds to gather enough light to record this image.

We found a magnificent place to camp near us that has great owners and breath taking scenery. I made the effort to get up early and capture my favourite trees in the paddock next to our camp site at sunrise. You can just see the resident horses in the back ground who took great interest in my dawn invasion of their turf.

There was bright sunlight on this late autumn day in Humbug. I was standing in an alleyway looking up at the main drag with the drugstore perched in the distance. For a minute I had a fleeting vision of how simple things used to be.

Our life depends on the kind of thoughts we nurture. If our thoughts are peaceful, calm, meek, and kind, then that is what our life is like. If our attention is turned to the circumstances in which we live, we are drawn into a whirlpool of thoughts and can have neither peace nor tranquility.
