Jay and I were in Bahrain for two and a half years while I was teaching at the Bahraini Air Force. I arrived in January of 1989 and we ventured onward to Dubai in the middle of 1991. We lived in several locations during our time on the island.

Sheikh isa Bin Ali Al Khalifa House is located in the center of the old capital of Bahrain (Muharraq City). It was built at the end of the 18th century by Sheikh Hassan Bin Abdulla Ahmed Al Fateh during the rule of his father, Sheikh Abdulla Bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa. The house is characterized by its huge walls and small doors designed to protect them from the heat in summer and the severe cold in winter. www.bahraintourism.com/
Took this picture in Souvneir shop at Bahrain F1 track. Then used wide angle distortion tool in capture nx 2 to deliberately induce distortion. Make it look like i took this shot with ultra wide lens. All that i used was kit lens 18-55 VR. Used rear flash as well to illuminate the background rather than just the car.
