This is a photograph from my trip to see my family in Bahrain in December. Riffa Fort was built in 1812 and has now been completely restored. It’s very beautiful in terms of colours, proportions and atmosphere. The fort also houses the Saffron Café, which overlooks the picturesque Al-Haniniya Valley. I had my traditional Bahrain breakfast here on the terrace, soaking up the sun. After a rain-soaked, bitter-wind UK autumn, it was lovely sitting in the gentle sun.

The pavilion of Bahrain at the 2025 world expo in Osaka, Japan. It was designed by the lady architect Lina Ghotmeh.

Bahrain Parkour Association is the first and the only association based to develop Parkour and Free Running to foster its growth in Bahrain, officially formed on the 6th of February 2010 by some of the most active and dedicated Parkour practitioners in Bahrain.

Burnt out buses after arson attack - this was intended to disrupt BAPCO, as these buses were used to collect the Bahraini workers - the transport department worked all the weekend and rebuilt the outside of most of these wrecks and were able to collect the workers as usual - but the insides were still a wreck - look at one of the shots taken inside the bus
