Abbey loved the backhoe and digging up rocks... she was bound and determined to get a bucketful of rocks... and did much better than a lot of older children did!

For the last several days there has been a construction work just beside our place in AIT, Gaga loves to see the Backhoe working, he's calling it boom boom, the rot kin kao (car that eats) hehe

It will come for us someday.

More to follow. Apparently there is some controversy over the destruction of this church to make way for a high-rise building. The church is no gem. Not sure if the building replacing it will be either. I should look for the plans.

A hydraulic excavator moves slabs of rock that the engineers dug up after moving about 12 inches of soil. Once the 19th Engineers hit a bed of rock, they used “rippers” on the front of the dozers to break up the rock so the HYEX could remove it. The task became more time consuming because they had to dig up the rock before they could move the soil to form the defensive positions.

These shots are all pretty much straight out of the camera (SOOC)... I adjusted contrast and did a little noise reduction, but did not touch the colors or saturation.
