A few feet down, the backhoe hit limestone. They were barely able to scratch the surface of it with the backhoe. So we didn't get to bury the aerobic system as deep as originally intended, but it's buried enough.

This has been an integral part of the house's construction.

This is the huge machine that was in my yard, digging up and then putting everything right in my driveway.

Two years old and still fascinated by construction equipment.

Backhoe waits for the signal to begin removing 42-inch thick blocks from the southeastern face of the Idaho State Capitol. Crews here are preparing to open up the new southeastern pathway entrance to the building’s Garden Level.

On March 6, 2006, I walked by a grandmother and grandson who were watching the construction of the Hoover Business Building at Elizabethtown College. I was touched by the boy's love for construction tools and asked to take his photo. His grandmother assented.

When this boy goes to college, I will probably have been teaching for quite a while. Will I be his professor one day?
