Wood just does not hold up out here. The wood fences get blown down in the spring when the amazing winds come.

After installation of the aerobic waste water treatment system, the backhoe guy attempted to backfill and clean up, but there were so many rocks that there was really no way to clean up the mess. The largest rocks were placed on the property so I could mow around them, but it would take at least a couple of years to really clean up the mess along the sprinkler portion of this water treatment system.
Brent and Serena remarked at how many new roads are cropping up in the mountain. The roads don't go anywhere yet, but they're in pretty good shape. At one place there is even a very nicely done flagstone foot path leading to nowhere in particular. I imagine that by the time I go back to visit again there will be something at the end of the path.
This kind of reminded me of when we visited Valencia in Spain. There were a lot of new roads up moutainsides blazing a trail for new houses to be built.
