Xavier and I spent the day checking out large construction equipment at Monster Machines in Motion. Most of it we were able to climb all over, into, etc. Xavier helped operate a backhoe, and rode in the "monster truck" race! It was a fun day and worth the trip to Janesville...it also helped a great cause! monstermachinesinmotion.org/
It is not every day that Ice Bat gets to watch two backhoes dig from his back yard. He might have to ask for a ride later on!
This morning our neighbors decided to demo their retaining wall that was partially shared by ours...this afternoon they changed their plans and rented a Bobcat to totally demo their front lawn! Hope that it doesn't affect our shared area much...

This stretch was lined with cottonwood. As part of a shoreline restoration project the trees are all being cut down. I don't get it.
Started some backhoe work today. We are going to put down more concrete at our ministry site in Tecate, Mexico. This section will go all the way to the yellow building.
I wanted to have some large tractor tyres and found the 42081 would be the cheapest set to get those. However, I'm not so keen on the original ZEUX, I then decided to turn it into something that i could like more. So here it comes the 42081 C-Model Backhoe Loader.

I spent a morning at People at Play: The Heavy Equipment Experience in Bradenton, Fla., on July 30, 2011. This is an adult playground for those who like to play in the dirt. Very cool! I didn't get to try but just watching was fun.
