From the Neenah Citizen Newspaper photograph collection. Backhoe accident at a house demolition near the post office in July 1995.
the backhoe gets a cleaning and some tweaking so that it'll start. i have to say i'm impressed with anyone who can make any sense of this mechanical mess.
Along the causeway that links Ebeye Island to Gugeegue Island in Kwajalein Atoll a few large pieces of machinery can be seen, remnants of the work that was done to make the road.
Taken with a little Canon Ixus I bought to carry in my pocket. Great for unexpected finds like this one at a machinery auction on the Gold Coast.
The backhoe originally used to drill the holes along top of the berm. Ground conditions called for more power and so a larger auger/drill was brought in to help out.
My brother-in-law's method of hoisting his truck to replace the brake line (use a backhoe to just lift the back end. Note the dog who thought there was a ride involved and jumped in.

Just testing the Flickr post-to-vox feature. My Vox Blog is here. I post little stuff to it sporadically. This is a photo from outside where I swim. They are expanding the gym.
These equipment (bulldozer and a loader backhoe) had been purchased from Ritchie Brothers auction in Orlando area recently. Big Iron's shipping & logistics department will be handling the dismantling and containerization of these equipment.
Pictures of the equipment being delivered to Big Iron's shipping yard in Jacksonville, FL. Our new loading dock makes unloading of heavy equipment easy. Loading the containers from this loading dock will be as easy.

Never seen this before. I was doing a timelapse of snow melting when I noticed the strange boat heading my way. I soon realized where it was heading and got my camera ready. Looks like they're putting a dock in for big ships. Possibly for the big war of 1812 reenactment. I've heard they're going to go all out for the 200 year anniversary. I'll surely get a timelapse of it all if I'm in the area at the time. I whipped up a quick song for this lapse, and realized that I have Massive working in Garageband. I downloaded Massive and tried to use it a while ago with no luck. But not too long ago I downloaded something so Grageband would recognize a different piece of software I wanted to use. Guess it worked for Massive too. Nice! www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjlwVgDHBLA
